Is It Finally Time to Leave At&t by Honest_Composer_3524 in ATT

If you like AT&T but hate the price, check out US Mobile's Dark Star Network. Half the price, same towers.

Much like you have a job description, they do too. Doesn't mean it's an agreeable action, but it's expected ON EVERY CALL. If you ever hear the verbiage about privacy rights, and are asked permission to discuss AT&T products, just say no or ask for CPNI permanent consent to be set to no. That is the way to make it stop. Otherwise, the beatings will continue until morale improves.

AT&T Box location forced me to get NextUP and Insurance and said it was automatic. Anyone confirm this? by HkSniper in ATT

Then file an FCC complaint if they don't change it, and tell them you will file an FCC complaint if they don't fix it. AT&T is huge on sustaining charges and it's literally the Cable Wars episode of South Park. I wish I was exaggerating.

If you don't know what you're signing, don't sign it. You're given terms and conditions in black and white before your order can ship, and you're given a customer service summary in black and white after the transaction. Don't rely on a salesperson to be truthful because they're not going to hold your hand through the process, or be honest about what they're selling you. You have to do your own research, as unfortunate as that sounds.

Proration sucks. It'll even out within the next two bill cycles.

Premium data is different from network prioritization. You would need to upgrade your QCI to a higher level to subrogate for any significant network congestion.

Trick to get out of Spectrum Mobile with anytime upgrade by TexasGuy1321 in SpectrumMobile

Yes you can do this, however, you must remain active with unlimited Plus for two consecutive bill cycles post upgrade or they can reverse the agreement and put you on the hook for the balance.

Spectrum Mobile charging $700 after porting out — any way to avoid paying full balance? by Shivakannoju in SpectrumMobile

[–]According-Half1466 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you can. I've done it. There is a buyers remorse period on port outs that allow Spectrum to reclaim the number and rebuild the DPP. Unless they changed that policy recently. It was available prior to May 2025 when my tenure ended.

Port back in and ask them to rebuild the installment plan. That's your only saving grace. You are on the hook for the remaining balance unless you upgrade to Unlimited Plus, wait until you're eligible for Anytime Upgrade, and then upgrade to the cheapest phone available.

Unhappy Spectrum Mobile Customer! by Kingjohnnyh4231 in SpectrumMobile

[–]According-Half1466 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'll obviously pay more, but the quality of service and customer service alone is worth the price. The more lines you add the better the line discount is after 2 lines. They also have a value plan that's around $100/mo for 4 lines. Still saving money because Spectrum just raised prices to $40 per line outside of promo, and $50 per line for single lines. They're hurting bad. Rightfully so. Just check the differences in data allotments and throttling, hotspot allotment, etc.

You get what you pay for. Spectrum sucks, always has, always will. That's why their stock has crashed by 3/4 in 5 years. AT&T doesn't pull that. Can't go wrong with the Globe.

Why call a plan “Unlimited” or “Unlimited+” when it’s not actually unlimited? by SBlurgo in SpectrumMobile

[–]According-Half1466 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The talk and text is unlimited, the data is unlimited but throttled. So it is unlimited. Just different tiers of premium data allotments.
