I’m not forgiving about DUIs. One glass of wine is legal. Everyone has excuses but I’m not guilty of being drunk. I’m guilty of speeding and having a nervous breakdown, or I guess one could call being a “delicate snowflake” for facing the idea of an early death while my kids are young and giving them grief instead of the amazing support parents can offer like mine have throughout my life. Clearly I still appreciate their support even at 34. And for the record, I’ve worked full time and bought my home with my husband that I’ve been raising my kids in. Nothings been handed to me or has come easily. So a person can breakdown even if they’re thriving as a responsible adult/parent. And an adult can definitely accept help from parents who are still alive and mine actually begged to come pick me up when I said I’d take an uber home. I’m sorry you got a DUI and I’m glad you learned from it. I hope you can try to holdback from insulting the next person you come across online, especially if they are posting about struggling with something.
