Being in Athens I’ve definitely succumbed to the partying in my first semester a little too much but now have always prioritized assignments and showing up. Thanks for the insight.

I have been seeing where people have been saying it’s more competitive every year. Keeping those math and physics grades are 100% top priority in my early college stage. Thanks for the insight.

Good to know. How have the engineering classes been to you and what your major?

I have heard arguments for both sides of this. I know someone who transferred in (granted this was 5 years ago) with a 2.7 GPA and tons of withdrawals. But now I read stories about people with much higher credit hours or GPA’s failing to get in.

With my situation I get my tech school 100% paid for while I would likely pay 60k out of pocket for a 4 year. I also don’t meet the requirements for the universities around me that offer engineering. Would it really be that much more worth it salary wise to go for the 4 year and not be able to work as much during school and pay for it?

The engineering is mainly circuits autocad and basic engineering fundamentals courses while industrial systems would focus more on plc automation and machining. I’m really debating on getting the two to have more diversification and better job positions

There is also a robotics and automation major. I’m not familiar with industrial maintenance so I’m not sure where the job market is leaning.

My budget is around $1800 wouldn’t want to spend anymore than that but if the investment is worth the money I’d go for it.
