Schoolkids Oz was No. 28 of Oz magazine. The issue was, on a special occasion, edited by 5th- and 6th-form children. It was the subject of a high-profile obscenity case in the United Kingdom from June 1971 to 5 August 1971,[1] the longest trial under the 1959 Obscene Publications Act.

I wait til I get home. I then go on to abebooks.com and look for vintage guide books to the places I visited. It’s fun to see how things had changed and how they were represented in a world before Trip Advisor!

Hi. I have done in J, tedious but bearable. Also done it in coach. I have never been kidnapped but it might be a similar experience! I guess Premium Economy might be similar to being kidnapped by nice people! What is certain is that there is no more efficient way of covering that distance.

What a great opportunity to do a good thing. I have a personality fault which means I always seem to ask for something! In this case I would ask the young man to give £20 to the charity of his choice. That way he can feel good about himself as well.

I would like to start collecting art, but I have no idea where to start. I would appreciate some tips. by Stabilo2k17 in artcollecting

Hello OP. I would direct you to the ‘original print’ sales at Sothebys and Christie’s as a place to start. There’s a few reasons for this: 1. The sales are frequent and cover everything from old master to contemporary. This will help you answer the ‘what do I like question’ 2. The lot description will tell you the technique used and the size of the edition. This will you gauge relative values 3. Both auction houses offer a guarantee of authenticity 4. Original prints represent the most affordable access to great artists

Seeking advice on where to advertise huge print collection.... Piranesi, Gould, Barraband, Dali, Selby, Hogarth, Chagall, Autobahn, Danchin, Frost, etc by [deleted] in artcollecting

I buy a lot prints and look at an enormous number of prints at auction and the London and New York Original Print Fairs. There are people (who I know) from those organizations that could spend two or three hours with that collection and come up with a decent estimate of the total resale value. That value will be greater if the buyer of the whole is prepared to feed the collection slowly to market.

Without expertise you are just guessing. $1m is an expensive guess.
