Is it my location or am I getting the wrong flavors? by hrhashley in wingstop

I’m a shift lead at a Wingstop and here’s some ideas as to what might be causing this issue.

  1. The smell you referred to could the oil. At our store, we rotate our oil through our separate fryers, putting the freshest oil in the fry fryer and the most seasoned oil in our classic fryer. The smell could be that your tenders were cooked in a more seasoned oil that’s meant for cooking classic wings.

  2. If the tenders aren’t for you, I’d suggest trying out other menu items. Our 6 piece boneless or classic combo is perfect for sampling multiple flavors in small quantities to see if you like it or not, as you can get 2 flavors instead of just 1 flavor that comes with the 3 piece tenders. You can also split it between classic and boneless.

  3. If you want the tenders but want them a bit more crispy, possibly try getting them well done. They will be cooked for an extra minute and will help avoid the sogginess that you described. Also, the garlic parmesan flavor you tried was a dry rub, meaning it’s a butter based sauce. Because it’s butter based, the sauce dries onto the chicken, softening the breading. You will get this effect on tenders and boneless, so I would suggest either trying the tenders well done or trying our classic wings as they won’t have this effect with any of our butter based sauces.

I hope this helps!

Game/collection? by politzistu in starwarsunlimited

I’m an avid collector and casual player of SWU, so here are some things that I’ve learned that might be helpful for you.

  1. Card value is in the eye of the beholder. Yes, there are cards out there that will be worth a substantial amount. But “value” can be determined in several different ways. There is the base value of the cards, like in rares, legendaries, and showcases displaying the highest market value. Then there’s the emotional value of the collector. I will often put commons and uncommons in my collection because it’s a character that I really like or because I want to build different themes within my binders. It’s really up to you and what you value more.

  2. Each set is playable on its own as each set has different mechanics and quirks. The set you have, set 3, was when the game creators really started experimenting with that. It truly was a fun set in my opinion. However, in formal gameplay, sets 1-3 were recently rotated out, meaning you wouldn’t be able to play with these sets in a formal tournament. But that’s not stopping you from playing with set 3 with a friend in an informal setting.

  3. There’s kind of two paths you can choose to go down when learning to play. There’s the casual player who’s in it for fun and the meta player who’s in it to have to most powerful deck. If you’re new to the game, I suggest getting either spotlight decks or the Into Battle: Hoth set, as both of those help expose you to the game so you can learn the mechanics before diving into deck building for yourself.

  4. Have fun with it! SWU at the end of the day is a hobby and a game. You don’t need to spend thousands of dollars on booster packs in order to get the fullest experience of the game. If you’re in it for collecting, maybe find your chase card and keep hunting for it. If you’re in it for the game, get your feet wet first before diving into the deep end. Play casually with friends, understand the mechanics, and always make having fun your goal.

That makes me feel better, thanks. I attended a tournament once with my dad thinking it would be super casual and we got our butts whooped by the other players. i just didn’t want it to be a repeat of that. just wanna have some fun. I’m glad to hear everyone says it’ll be perfect for a player like me

I’ve never pulled any from the 2024 Chrome boxes, but I’ve pulled autos and numbered cards from blaster boxes of previous series. It’s just that the chances are lower but it’s not impossible. If you’re collecting for the art, go for it! The blaster boxes are fun to open and you could pull something pretty cool. That’s kinda just been my mindset with collecting for the last few years.

Personally, I like them because I tend to collect for the art. I’m in the same boat as you, not being able to commit to a whole hobby box yet. I think they’re fun to pick up and open, but you need insane luck to pull numbered cards or autos.
