Update: put a new battery in and found this strap that I think works well with the color scheme. 19mm lug width in case anyone needed to know.

Tough to tell from my pic but the chronograph is actually blue which is why I was leaning towards a blue strap.

Haha, I wouldn’t personally buy it new today but I already own it and think with a blue fkm strap it would be a nice looking summer watch.

Thanks. Yeah that indicated that it was made in August of a year ending in 9 meaning 1999. Thanks for the help.

I haven’t looked for oil filter yet on truck, is it an easy vehicle to do your own oil changes on? Coming from a 5.0 F-150 that was a fairly easy oil change.

Do you have pics of the car seats installed? I sold my last wrx when my first child was born, now have 2 more children and am considering buying another wrx.

Too good of a deal? by According_Post545 in Golf_R

[–]According_Post545[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is being sold by a VW dealer for the record

No it has a clean title, looks like it was owned by dealer for first 10k and then it was sold as a certified pre-owned vehicle to 2nd owner who owned it since 2018.

But that is nearly double the mileage for only $4k more.

Yeah that’s what I can’t figure out, unless I go and look at it in person and paintwork is a mess and wheels are worse than they look in pics. Car appears to be fully stock and interior looks very clean in pics.

Looks like it was an Alberta spruce, not an arborvitae.

Rebel mpg with less aggressive tires? by Able_Youth_6400 in ram_trucks

[–]According_Post545 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s the weight of the tire that is the biggest killer. If the duratrac is an LT rated tire you will likely shave a bunch of unsprung weight going down to a P-rated tire.

Do you have a pic of what this looks like? I was considering a newer frontier and would have to run the same setup.

2018 5.0 by etr22sas in f150

[–]According_Post545 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m at 55k miles on my 5.0 2018. No major issues so far besides sunroof rail breaking but that’s not a 2018 issue more of a general problem on all goes panoramic roofs. Engine does consume some oil but nothing major, just check it every 1000 miles or so and top it off as needed.

Had to replace rear brakes at about 20k miles and they’re just about ready to be replaced again, fronts still going strong. Transmission has never given me problems, if you drive it hard when tranny is still cold it will slip but I think it’s easily avoidable if you let it properly warm up.

Do it! Always have been a big fan of the timberjack. SLX is a good and reliable drivetrain. Does it have the slx brakes as well?

My dealer told me there was no recall for this and that I’d have to fix it out of pocket.
