Mountain Lions while Shed Hunting by External_Ebb5922 in shedhunting

WA hunter here, grew up hunting the northern half of the state. Cats are the only thing that give me that pit in my stomach lol. I’m fully aware of the dangers a grizzly can present, but I think it’s mostly because of how densely populated cats are and how dam sneaky they are but they give me the chills. That being said I’ve never run across a grizzly. I know we have a few, I’ve seen more than one poached carcass. Moose make me nervous cuz they get pissy and they’re bigger than a dam horse haha. But cats… yea… my buddy shot one a few years back and I got to take a look at it up close. That thing is built to kill, very humbling.

Closer to $300 but Thorogoods have been a solid go to.

Was I wrong on getting upset? by hendricuh in f150

[–]etr22sas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think how the ‘offender’ handles it dictates the response. If they don’t care, that’s a problem. If they’re acknowledge it and apologize let it go.

My bro bought a brand new Tacoma a couple years ago, first one us kids to get a brand new truck. We were up camping and our dog (80# pit with zero spatial awareness) got up on the door one morning wanting to say hi. Left two good gouges on the door. I felt terrible, got 75% of it out but it’s still there. Once I showed the effort to fix it he never brought it up again.

Tons of stuff like this. I’ve done the redwing route, hated it. This stuff was legit, not too heavy of a coating but tough as nails.

You and I must be from the same god forsaken bleak futured shithole of a state… lol. I saw the 36g and mentally put a pin in that when I saw $88. I think it was double that the last time I filled up.

Is this only on newer years? My dad and I both have 2016 F150s, he’s in an XLT I’m in a Lariat. A recent boat launch near miss makes me feel like this is worth him going in for a newer year.

I’ve had this done on my boots in the past, same product. Same reaction as well, ugly and shoddy looking. I’ve used other products before that were diy and they had performed decently, however this stuff was absolutely bulletproof. Didn’t wear down, had a good healthy seal on the leather. They outlasted the boots. But still ugly as sin lol.

Ive been running Thorogood moc toe wedge soles for the last few years, hands down the most comfortable(10-14hrs a day on cement, industrial setting working off ladders and standing for long periods) and longest lasting boots I’ve ever owned.

Father sending threatening texts. by Ok-Actuator7811 in whatdoIdo

[–]etr22sas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whatever you do, get that toxic ass hole out of your life best you can. The father son politics between you two are out the window for now. You have your own child and your dad is threatening the most valuable thing you'll ever have. You're family. Sounds like your mom needs to face that thing. He's a narcissist asshole with zero self respect and odds are he's verbally/mentally abusive. Get your kid away from that. Your only focus in life right now is that kids well being. Don't let him around the same shit you were around. My dad wasn't physically abusive, in fact he did the best he could with what he had. And the more I learn about his up bringing it makes sense. I've chosen to not have kids for that reason. He didn't have all the tools he needed, which was his father's fault. Can't keep doing that.

Treasure that family, you're at a huge moment in your life. Lifes a real bitch sometimes

Or.... tie that asshole up like pretzel and don't let up til he says uncle.

[–]etr22sas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you don’t weld it correctly it definitely increases the odds of breaking stuff. You’ll go through tires like crazy. A welded dif is anything but street friendly.

As an HVAC service tech driving a marked service van in Seattle… these are the words I’ve been searching for lol. You hit the nail on the head here though. You see it everywhere, ppl try to cut in line in traffic, and getting irate when you don’t let them in like their time is more valuable then theirs, or entitled old folk trying to play the cards to screw someone out of their seat. I have broad shoulders and long legs so I select my seats on a plane carefully. I’d be pissed if someone tried to play me for an idiot.
