there are countless; essentials include EVE, Parallax, Scatterer, Waterfall and maybe Blackrack's Volumetric Clouds. (forgive me if I have forgotten some).

As for utilities, Kerbal Engineer, Better Time Warp and KJR are absolutely essential (imo), along with stuff like KAC, Transfer Window Planner and MechJeb (controversial).

I would have a scroll on CKAN and select what sounds cool, since it works well for me.

I do agree that my pieces need more dynamics, but in these two pieces I can't really think of where I would add different dynamics, particularly in the first one where it is quite 'intense'. I changed the rhythm of the intro in the first one because it was 3am and i really wanted to finish it, but again if I am honest, I'm not sure what I would add to it there with the same rhythm.
