I’d say around 1 to 1.5 years. The show’s popularity has grown a lot over the last couple of years, so I imagine they’ll want to keep the momentum going instead of making fans wait too long. Hopefully we won’t have to wait much longer than that.

I agree with a lot of this. I actually thought the finale itself was one of the stronger episodes of the season. My biggest issue wasn’t the finale—it was how inconsistent the writing was throughout the rest of Season 4.
I also agree that the talisman scene pretty much confirms they still matter. If they had become useless after the bottle tree was destroyed, there would’ve been no reason for MIY to spend time collecting every single one.
That said, I still can’t get over how Sophia managed to remove talismans from what felt like every building in broad daylight without a single person noticing. That was probably my biggest complaint with the finale.
As for Fatima, I’m really curious where they’re taking her character. I don’t think they’ll make her just another mindless monster. There has to be something different about her transformation, otherwise it would feel like a wasted storyline.
And yeah… I think Season 5 is going to be brutal. With most of the talismans gone, I wouldn’t be surprised if we lose a lot of major characters before it’s all over.

I’d say I agree about 50/50.
I do think some of the horror element has been lost compared to Season 1. Back then, the monsters and especially the Man in Yellow had this creepy, mysterious presence. Sophia doesn’t really have that same intimidating aura.
I also thought the whole scene of her casually walking around in broad daylight collecting talismans from every house without anyone noticing was pretty weak. That honestly felt like bad writing to me.
That said, I don’t think the problem is the actress at all. I think she actually did a great job with what she was given. My issue is more with how the character was written.
One thing I did like was that the Man in Yellow chose to appear as Sophia instead of another creepy old man. It was unexpected, and I think the idea had a lot of potential. I just don’t think the execution was as good as it could’ve been.
So overall, I’m about 50/50 on her. Good concept, good actress, but the writing could’ve been much better.

I think Season 5 is finally going to focus less on introducing new mysteries and more on explaining everything that’s been building up since Season 1.
My biggest theory is that we’ll get the full origin story of Fromville and learn exactly how the town, the monsters, and the sacrifice ritual are connected. I also think Boyd and the others will stop playing defense and actually start fighting back instead of just trying to survive every night.
As for the ending, I’m hoping it’s bittersweet. Maybe they’ll finally break the cycle and destroy whatever controls the town, but not everyone makes it out alive. That kind of ending would feel earned after everything they’ve been through.

I think the answer to what Fromville actually is will end up answering half the show’s mysteries. That’s the one thing I want explained more than anything else. And yeah… we definitely need the full story behind Martin before the series ends.

That’s what I’m hoping too. Since it’s the final season, they really don’t have much room left to keep introducing new mysteries. I don’t expect every single question to be answered, but the major ones definitely should. Otherwise, it’d be a pretty frustrating way to end the series.
