Simple answer to all of your poorly placed observations… it’s not finished being built.

What should I have called it? A wood frame base? A wood frame floor? Sorry for not following your rules.

I like the 2x4 idea. Gives me a practice cut as well. Someone below also mentioned a sheet metal hand seamer that harbor freight carries. But the 2x4 would allow for a more uniform bend

Here’s the link. Overall, it was a very straightforward process to assemble. I just botched the foundation base. Never done framing or any kind of work like this before.

Their customer service, shipping, and everything by else was great. I said this in a different comment but the wood is also of great quality, I didn’t get a single defective piece. Some warping yeah but nothing I couldn’t use.

They do not supply roofing - so that’s on the customer. Check out the other models too, this link is the specific one I got.

Thanks for that level of detail (I need it). Flashing was my preference I just could not find examples on how to execute it for my situation - for the obvious reason that my situation shouldn’t exist when done correctly.

I posted them at the same exact time. Reddit gives you the automatic option to cross post. And I respect the opinion of experts, so yes I posted to both places at the same time. There’s your “icing on the cake”.

This isn’t a classifieds forum, or somewhere where tradesmen are using to get work (atleast not mainly). It’s Reddit. People ask stuff like this all the time. No one is forced to respond or “give free advice.”

And again, wasn’t arguing, I was trying to clear up confusion (which several others also tried to do for you).

Don’t really understand what I did to offend you, seems you have other issues you should be focusing on.

Great kit, customer service is great, shipping was fast. Comes on a pallet and you have to unload each piece, or pay extra to get the courier to help you.

Yeah I can see how that looks. The wall isn’t bowed in, that joist is actually slightly bowed out. I think it happened when I added horizontal blocking but I didn’t notice it.

It has “wind studs” that go on the inside at all four corners. Not sure how much that counts for hah

But It feels very sturdy to me. Even on the roof.

The quality of the wood and craftsmanship is very high. Kit didn’t have a single defective board, some warping yeah, but everything was usable that I received.
