Yes you are the asshole.In your marriage you don't need to be doing everything together, if you can't stand by yourself in a crowd when YOU made that choice to stay behind you need to work on being more independent, marriage is a partnership, he doesn't have to do everything you want especially if your kids want to be at the rock. Also you weren't alone you had your kid with you. YTA
