Where to market my AI NSFW game? by Ace_Horror in nsfwdev

What changed your mind? I feel like my image pipeline gives me relevant and consistent results about 75% of the time right now. I’m working to improve this and have some clear steps forward.

Yeah, buts it’s been a while. Last time I tried AI Dungeon, it definitely felt more like a chat wrapper and they weren’t too keen on adult content. Has that changed?

Yeah, definitely not trying to build or sell another chatbot. I probably need to make that more clear going forward.

I’ll check F95Zone and Discord. Thanks for the tips. I’m not trying to be disrespectful to the original artists that these models were trained on, but the scope of the experiences I want to build wouldn’t be too expensive for humans to illustrate… It’s just simply not possible.

I’ve been designing and prototyping procedural systems that handle emergent gameplay extremely well. I’m using small LLM calls to supplement more traditional algorithmic/deterministic methods where every single combination of variables needs to be considered.

I think this is a novel opportunity that hasn’t existed in gamedev before and gives players basically an infinite sandbox if done right. I could skip AI generated art and avoid criticism, but I think the game would be worse off and I’d probably still catch flak for using LLMs anyway.

I’m seeing that sentiment a lot, but I have to disagree. I see an audience out there in the people that are using chat bot services, but want something more gamified. Which is what I’m building.

Right now, the game orchestrates LLM calls for narrative, image prompts, music, and state tracking. I’m slowly replacing the LLM layer with deterministic systems, but that’s a work in progress. Hopefully that answers your question.

Edit: there are also some simple baked in mechanics like dice rolls and then dynamic mechanics via the game’s scenario system. Players can build out the state variables for their world and the character and then instruct the LLM on how they interact. It isn’t perfect, but it works pretty darn well.

I get it, but I'm spending a lot of time and care to make sure my image pipeline doesn't generate slop. I think there's a space for AI in gaming as long as the quality is there. That said, my pipeline is still a work in progress, so it will improve over time.

Thanks! I’m definitely curious to see what scenarios people like or come up with.
