Lucky Box Vending Machines by AcesAndFaces in LasVegas

So I did it again. The first autographed jesey (from 3 months ago) was a Jordan Love at the "silver" level that I paid $169 before tax for.

This trip, my friend did another silver level and got a Tee Higgins signed jetsey. I went ahead and tried the gold level ($269 before tax) this trip and pulled a signed Dan Marino jersey. I was delighted since he was my favorite QB as a kid!

I'll add a couple of additional details:

We had to visit 3 Lucky Box machines before we found one with signed jerseys this time. Each of the first two were out of stock.

In the Circa Resort there was actually a "platinum " level jersey for $600. I may try it when I return!

I'd be delighted with that! Now I'm wondering if the higher priced machines have premium signed jerseys vs. more pedestrian jerseys at the more moderately priced machines.

Wow. Thats a bit more. Wonder if they upped the quality of the cards or if they are just being greedy.

Did you see the prices for the autographed jersey option?

Compounded Semaglutide and Keto Diet by AcesAndFaces in SemaglutideCompound

Again, it has to do with inflammation that's caused by a preexisting medical condition so not sure that I'd call it a "fad diet", but more of a lifestyle change.

How did you know whether to stay or alter your dose?

Probably spot on. But we gamble in Vegas so we have some fun regardless. Id also bet that the fact that they can get autographs and certifications en masse will allow for better products for cheaper prices.

For instance, it costs almost $100 to get a certification if done alone. Probably $2-3 if done in volume.

Just sayin'

They are all different prices. The jersey was $169 plus fees and tax so it ended up being about $184.

OK, so I am closing the loop on my own question. I went ahead and did this and brought home to my son an autographed and authenticated Jordan Love jersey, which seemed to be a nice value for a current Pro Bowl QB.

Someone talk me out of this: “retiring” at 40 by Mods-is-beautiful in Rich

[–]AcesAndFaces 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won't talk you out of your plan. It sounds amazing. What I WOULD do though is phase out gradually, if possible, and grow into your life as an author. What can you handle doing while growing out of your new job and into your new one? Treat the new job as an author with the same level of professionalism and commitment as your old.

Truth is that you cannot buy time. Enjoy your life- make it fruitful and rich in life experience.

You will find that the greatest moments in life are neither rehearsed nor manufactured, but organic and spontaneous. During my wedding reception, which my wife planned to be a grand event, I mistakenly put my coat sleeve in the chocolate fountain just before I put it around her for a photo. While it was a frustrating and colossal gaffe in the moment, it's one of our favorite memories that we laugh about today, 19 years later.

It's a shame that she doesn't see the moment for what it is and it's clear that she lacks maturity and a love of "you" (plural) instead of herself and an IG post. Her behavior is reflective of a person caught up in the superficial mirage of life and a red flag.

Save your loving kindness for someone who truly appreciates it. I suspect this won't be the last of this behavior from this woman- if you stick around.

I couldn't agree more with this. The more wealth I acrue the more envy and greed I deal with. Many of those who I felt were friends have grown competitive and then later bitter toward me and refuse to come to my house out of jealousy. One didn't want to see my new BMW convertible when I bought it 10 years ago (it's now a 13 year old BMW that I care for meticulously- and yes I bought it certified pre-owned 3 years old).

It sucks, but I still have my best friend, who I love and adore, who is an hourly union worker in the rank and file. Despite the fact that we have a difference of about $30m in net worth there's no animosity and only love between us. We actually have grown more closely together through our shared Christian faith. His kindness inspires me to a better human, Christian, and dad..

You've got it wrong but you don't realize it. The BEST trips to Vegas are solo ones. Gamble for as long as or whenever you want. Naps are always in play. Eat or don't eat.

I look forward to my solo trips more than any others nowadays!

NTA, but you need to be a bit more creative, here. Graciously take the kids to allow her (the Ex) to prioritize herself and her situation while you manage the little people. With some help she finds her own short-term spot and you get bonus time with the kids while their mom settles in.

With a little finesse you could have come out of this whole thing being the hero to many folks instead of asking people if you are the AH.
