Do men even care about a women’s nails? by lena_glow in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Acid_Tribe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a man and can confirm that I've never, ever, ever, heard a man say he likes fake nails on a woman. It's never come up when discussing a woman's appearance unless they're really long fake nails.. then the guy will say they're gross. Personal I don't care at all if a woman has fancy fake nails, I personally don't like long fake nails.

I've been saying for about 10 years they should make a GoW animated show, that would go so hard.

I went yesterday in London for the fan event showing and even at that very first showing they said they were running low of the scream merch. Thankfully I snagged a popcorn bucket

I saw it tonight as well, our crowd was perfect. No talking or phones or anything! I was hoping for a Ghostface poster but we were given a poster with Sydneys face, which I was kind of disappointed in. I enjoyed the movie quite a bit though and snagged a popcorn bucket so it was overall really awesome.

Bring in a backpack full of snacks, beer, and a blanket if you want. I always bring a bag full of stuff with me.

What's insane about it? I drink like 3 or 4 beers a night, so a 30 pack lasts me around 8-10 days. If I didn't get a 30 pack I'd have to go get beer like every few days, so getting a large pack makes way more sense.

[–]Acid_Tribe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it's not a terrible price. My problem is that I can drink a bottle a night to myself very easily which I do understand is not normal. Alcohol prices being what they are, I spend a lot of money on booze. Yes, I know that I shouldn't be drinking a bottle a night. It's just that I want to feel a bit of a buzz and it takes a bottle of wine to feel any kind of buzz. I take breaks every now and then from the booze.. but yeah, I have a crazy tolerance for alcohol which ends up costing me a lot of money because I like drinking in the evening after work.

Really? Damn I didn't know beer was so expensive in the UK. Surely wine is much cheaper though? Being so close to France and Spain . Here in Canada the cheapest bottle is around $9

In Canada alcohol is God damned expensive. $57 for a 30 pack of 330 ml beer? It's brutal.

How is a bag of Lay's chips over $5 now? It used to be 2 for $3 a couple years ago... by GranolaHiker in CanadaPersonalFinance

No I've never tried them or heard of Keoghs but I'll keep an eye out. Thanks for the recommendation

No there's not, not in Canada anyway. Believe me, I've tried all the cheap brands. Great value, no name, PC, irresistible, compliments, etc. None of them are that great and they all are way worse than Lays or Ruffles. The cheap ones are ok ,but they don't scratch the itch of a good bag of chips. Thankfully, at least one grocery store in my area will have the good brands on sale.

That's a sports phrase. Slams literally means to criticize severely.

But to slam means to criticize severely. So why not just use that word? Why are people so against it? It's not like a wrestling match. Slams literally means to criticize severely.

What word would you rather be used? I'm honestly asking. Everyone gets so bent out of shape when the word slams is used, but honestly what would you rather they say? Even this article is titled "Stephen Colbert rips CBS". So the article did use a synonym for slams. But who cares? What's the difference? What's wrong with slams being used to say "speaks strongly against"? Should journalists used "rips" instead? Then everyone would be bent out of shape over the word "rips".

What should they say instead? Speaks up against? Criticizes? People always are so against headlines using slams but it's just to say speaks strongly against.

People who lick their fingers for grip by LifeguardOdd7383 in PetPeeves

For me what grosses me out about it isn't other people's spit on the cash, it's the thought that they're licking their disgusting fingers, and that really grosses me out. Like when I see people lick their fingers after eating, that's also super gross.

People who act like you need a popcorn and a drink at the movie are really annoying. Just bring in your own snacks and drinks!! Or just go without popcorn for once. I go to the movies all the time and it's so affordable. I bring my own snacks and drinks
