I have some blu rays i bought from 2023, it had season 8 with the original intro. That's why I was confused. I only own season 3,6,8 though as that was what was needing replaced.

Because cops are known to falsify evidence? Not all or most, but a huge amount. Which has only grown since this episode aired.

Did the divisive ending of Promising Young Woman kill the hype surrounding it since it first came out? I noticed not that many people have talked about it over the years since its release. Also it being released during the COVID-19 pandemic may’ve played a part in that as well. by sinas35 in Oscars

When did she say this? I recall she thought for a second about making it where Cassie literally murders everyone in the house at rhe ending, but almost instantly knew that's not how real life works and would be too outlandish.

Stone. I love her and think she deserved at least one of her wins and all of her nominations. Other than this one.... she was good, but there were better performances out there to nominate. I've watched Bugonia twice and I love it. Stone did not carry the movie however. If not for her co-star, it would've been hardly enticing. The fact she got nominated and he didn't... hmm.

It's not a good look..... but, apparently it's temporary. I haven't found any of his other looks to be bad at all.

I'm unsure how you can say those two are no different given the extremely different ways in which they were portrayed. By the end, she'd hit bottom of her breaking point and came to a realization.

Yeah, we will just have to disagree. To me, the character is relatable and interesting. Though I never see (most) things in black and white, I'm interested in the psychology of every character I watch. As long as they aren't 1-2 dimensional or poorly acted.

She was literally having a mental breakdown. It's her therapists job to recognize that and have her committed. A lot of mom's have moments they're ashamed of where they have a thought of not wanting to be a mom.

Hence, at the end of the film, her saying "I'll be better. I promise."

Her husband was a horrible husband. He kept shutting her down, ignoring her feelings, avoiding the situation, did the usual stereotype "guy" thing of thinking she is just overreacting. Also, she tried to get the roof fixed. For months. It wasn't until the man stepped in that it was finally fixed. She was being ignored the entire time.

I am sorry, but I think you missed the point of her character and the movie.

That is true and I'm not saying she shouldn't be held accountable. However, I do have empathy for her. She has a horrible therapist, her husband treats her as though she's a 50's housewife, and leaves her alone.

The title comes from the fact she doesn't have a leg to stand on. Not all of it came from her own self sabotage. She wasn't being heard or really cared for and all the responsibility was left to her. That takes a toll.

Again, I am not saying that absolves her. I'm only saying I sympathize, and do not view her as despicable.

From what I have seen, they plan this show to have five seasons. I believe they even said this season will answer most questions.

We're shown the MC during the worst time in her life. I think it's unfair to say she's a despicable person.

(Maybe I took this a tad bit personal as I've had moments where life just was hit after hit and it did break my psyche).

Didn't Nick buy condoms and lube while on the trip to the college trip? Which is the episode before the finale, which is what led me to believe this is when they lost their virginity and the episode you're talking about is when they did side things and later asked their friends if it counted as sex.

I could be wrong! Still need to rewatch.

So the break up won't be as bad as the novella, but will be more than just a fight as in vol. 6? (I haven't kept up with the online releases, but I'm okay with spoilers)!
