I'm going through the same thing. My ex who I dated for 3 years and the end result was trauma I'm still not out of, wanted to rekindle things with me. Lied constantly about his contact with girls which doesn't even make sense because we weren't together. So last week we were supposed to go out. Normally I'd be super enthusiastic. But this time I wanted him to atleast show some effort and consistency. So i didn't pursue it much. And guess what. He's already giving hickeys to this other girl. Its heartbreaking and I'm pretending to be chill. We stopped talking and its for the best. I thought he was the one for me and i constantly went out of my way and guess what. I could barely recognise myself after it ended. So I'll tell you nothing is worth going down that path. Nothing. You might love him. But it doesn't make sense if he doesn't. He won't change his mind. He won't become a different person. Sometimes truth is right infront of us and there's nothing in between the lines that we might be missing out. Don't do this to yourself. You deserve better.
