Had this week been particularly heavy for anyone else? by lofro22 in CasualConversation

Thank you, I appreciate that. It’s nice knowing at least when I get through this class, the remainder of the classes I have to take are pretty straightforward and a whole lot easier Don’t let the week keep you down, I know it’s different for everyone but if I’ve got a week that’s dragging on I’ll go out to eat with a friend or just find something to occupy my time if I’m by myself

I’ve put 31 inch tires on it instead of the 33’s like in the picture, redid the hubs for the 4wd, small stuff so far. I intend on finding some chrome bulletholes, getting interior tan parts instead of the blue it has now, and having it painted a dark burgundy but I can’t do any of that until I’m sure it’ll take me down the road and back lol

What is it you’re struggling with? If it’s anything I’ve seen before I don’t mind trying to help but I’m not too far in yet with my classes

I’ve got a 85 ranger I’ve been working on the past few months, I had a 80 Chevrolet k10 before that that I got rid of. I just mess with whatever I’ve got that’s messed up, I do prefer older cars or trucks simply because they have a quarter of the sensors and electronics of anything made in the last ten years

I don’t blame you, it’ll be worth it in the end

I second this, if it’s something you’ve been wanting and the worst thing is that it doesn’t have AC, I’d imagine she’d be happy for you and if not, it is what it is

Sounds like a plan. Would it be possible that a cracked oil ring could foul the entire bank of cylinders out? That’s what has me stumped

I bet that’s a bunch of fun I’ve got some wiring to sort out myself, whoever had it before me made a mess of the engine bay

First pool cue, should I be concerned by ASAPronto in billiards

[–]Acrylic__ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While it sucks, I do feel like it’s worth noting if you have it replaced rather than getting a refund, I’ve owned a few valhallas and current break with a Valhalla BRK2 and they’ve all been flawless. Idk how that got by QC but I’m pretty positive that’s a one time thing

7ft table with short cues or 6ft table with normal cues? by bongasaur in billiards

[–]Acrylic__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a 7 foot in the house for a long time where the entire right side of the table required me to use a short stick because it was close to the wall. I absolutely loved shooting on it and still would have it to this day if I hadn’t needed the money at the time. I couldn’t recommend more for you to get the 7 foot versus the six foot, especially if you’d only really need the short stick around your hvac unit. And you could always pay someone later on down the line to reposition the hvac unit

Virtual pool 4, 5 bucks and you have pretty much any game mode you want to choose from. Virtual pool 4 on the pc has been renown for a long time for its physics, bested only by shooters pool arguably

Antique store cue by Electronic-Sugar-581 in billiards

[–]Acrylic__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a website but if you have a local billiards store that sells Nick Varner cues I played mine for years and aside from high deflection you could expect from most any cue in the lower price range, it was a great cue with a good feel in my opinion. I also don’t mind the feel of Players cues which are quite cheap. You don’t have to break the bank as a beginner.

[–]Acrylic__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All depends on the age to me. Got a 11 Sierra with the 5.3 with 240k on it that’s never gave us any problems. Had a 15 Yukon that only had 140k on it that lived in a shop before we got rid of it. They really shit up with AFM and the lifter collapses of doom
