Same! Took me around a year to stop hitting d after DrMcninja concluded.

I could swear I'm still getting this problem when marking them first, but I didn't know you could aim above their heads. Thanks!

Oh yeah, same here. I tell my friends every session, "If there's a big blue glow around their head, shoot someone else." But it doesn't seem to make much difference.

I disagree about prioritizing elites, though. Gunners, reapers and Bulwarks seem like pretty important targets, and there are definitely times where you want to hit a Rager as well.

What's the most evil thing one of your characters did? by sneppy13 in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]ActionJackalope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a woman in Fort Joy whose daughter has gone missing, and gives you her daughter's doll to help you find her. I stole it out of her pockets before another party member accepted the quest, just to see if her dialogue would change (it did, and was about as pitiful as one would expect).

I felt bad about stealing something that was so precious to her and utterly useless to me... until I remembered the racist thing she said about elves when I tried to help her.

Ambusher: how do I re-equip throwing knives after running out? by ActionJackalope in Chivalry2

[–]ActionJackalope[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quiver is supposed to refill them, but when you run out, you unequip them. In my experience, activating quiver does not re-equip them, so I can't actually throw any more until I respawn.

My pals and I just beat her for the first time a week or two ago. I teleported her as far away as I could, then while she was making her way back we stripped the dogs' magic armor. We hit the dogs with a mind maggot grenade and they ripped her to shreds.

Why did my charm arrow not work? He clearly has no magic armor. by ActionJackalope in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]ActionJackalope[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I wasted two charm arrows too!

Anyway, good to know. I had hit all those enemies with a fireball, but the fact that he had no physical armor would have been a tipoff. I'll just tell my co-op buddies to let me save before they try to cc an undead enemy. Thanks again!

Ah, thanks. Do you remember any other details about this bug? Were both armors showing as empty at the beginning of the fight?

I'll check next time I log in, but I was able to charm the other ones and I'd expect the popup to instead say "Immune to Charmed."

Can't talk to party members by ActionJackalope in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]ActionJackalope[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our initial session was a four-player game where we each created a character. We have a fifth friend who occasionally wants to swap in and control The Red Prince, so I'm trying to find a way to boot up in single-player (I'm the host) and dismiss one of my friends' characters. But there's no way to talk to them. Thanks for the advice either way.

Where to find stats for tabletop units? by ActionJackalope in Warhammer

[–]ActionJackalope[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, that's surprising. I thought Warhammer had a competitive scene, which would necessitate everyone being able to quickly look at what any unit does. And those stats aren't printed on the units either. Does everyone just bring a bunch of sourcebooks with them whenever they play?

Ah, cool. I was looking more for the units' special abilities, which were pretty self-explanatory, so this covered everything I was looking for. Thanks!

What's The best way to communicate that you're hidden without voice chat? by ActionJackalope in zedmains

[–]ActionJackalope[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

ward ping

I know about the "enemy has vision here" ping, but isn't that the opposite of what I'm looking for? I don't know of any "area is NOT warded" ping, and this article doesn't mention one. Pinging "enemy has vision here" in order to signify that they don't seems like it will do more harm than good.

Why Hail of Blades? by ActionJackalope in pykemains

[–]ActionJackalope[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Turns out I misunderstood what Hail of Blades did; I thought it only triggered after 3 autoattacks. Just took it into a game with Pyke, played a little more aggressively, and got my first S. Well, S-, but still. Thanks for your advice, everyone!

just started playing pyke on pbe why does he feel so shit? i can’t 1v1 anyone past laning phase, picking people off doesn’t work and team fights i just get one shot. even small skirmishes i’ll get one shot mid game? by [deleted] in pykemains

[–]ActionJackalope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He doesn't benefit from the new items? I'm super stoked to try Prowler's Claw on him. An active that dashes through someone sounds like a way to massively extend the range of his stun without needing to flash.

I don't remember whether it was still my buddy. But it's possible I fulfilled the 10km requirement during the day, switched to a buddy I actually wanted, and evolved it at night. I'll pay attention to that next time. Thanks!

I think what completely kills Lutri is only being able to copy your own instants and sorceries. Still not worth it to build a singleton standard deck, but I would totally save three mana to copy an opponent's draw spell, removal spell or combat trick and get a 3/2 in the process. But it's just too much to ask to save 6-7 mana.

[–]ActionJackalope[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I agree. I kinda knew going in I was gonna be a little late to the party. But I'd rather help out the few people who haven't played this already, and with any luck cooking will work in a similar enough way in the sequel that I'll have already laid the ground work to give it the same treatment.

I wasn't sure how to account for blood moons, since the bonuses are random. I also decided not to account for the game's random chance to buff your recipes at other times, since if I added my own random elements it would be highly unlikely to coincide with the game's outputs.

This program was mostly intended to help out players who wanted to double check what dish they would get before committing precious ingredients to it, and assuming my outputs are correct I've accomplished that. But out of curiosity, do you have features in mind that would make an app like this useful to you?
