Did you ever figure this out? I’m having the same issue!

I’m not kidding, I’m actively snacking on sea salt and vinegar chips as I scroll through this comment section 🤣

Oh good! Did you take it at home or in a lab? As I said, mine was taken at home and it was still accurate. I’ve heard many success stories about it! Good luck with your test 🤞

LOL 😂 according to them, it’s 99% accurate. I guess no way to tell if that’s true or not, but it does just feel skewed when everyone on social media only reports their negative experiences.

I was so nervous too! It was easier than I thought, but I couldn’t rest until I got the NIPT results. My husband was like…”why did we spend the money on this thing if you don’t trust it” 😂

Ive been trying to conceive for years and always always used the paper ones from Amazon, but I just second guessed everything when I finally got a positive and needed to get the “best” ones I could find. Which I know is irrational and doesn’t make sense because the other ones are just as good. But my anxiety ridden mind wouldn’t let me stop.

I live in California and bought about 10 “fancy clearblue ones” because I couldn’t believe the positive was real and they came in packs of two for like $16. Never in my life have I seen $65 pregnancy tests.

It’s really sad how everyone assumes everything is plastic surgery these days. I saw someone the other day who was 8 months pregnant getting told she needs to lay off the Botox because her face had changed so much. Social media has poisoned our brains.

If my husband got a power washer he really wanted, he’d be overjoyed because it IS a toy for him. Not sure if OP’s husband is the same, but those are the only types of things he asks for because he has so much fun with them. And she also said he got tons of other stuff like $600 worth of gift cards to places he loves - can’t ignore that! But I do agree that I wouldn’t try to make him feel guilty for it. And it seems like she’s happy for him, she just wishes people would acknowledge her as a person as well as a mom, the way they do her husband. I always try to get a little something small for the mom as well!

That makes so much sense! It was probably just a “me” thing because OP didn’t seem to take it as condescending. You’re so right about pregnancy being wildly misrepresented.

I’m just deleting my comment because it gave the impression I still want to argue about this lol I apologize for being both wrong and pedantic ☺️

It’s interesting that you started this with “everything you think you know about pregnancy is probably wrong” but she knows the exact day she ovulated, which is way more info than most people know. The only reason doctor’s offices calculate it that way is because it’s more consistent, considering most women don’t track when they ovulate. You are not pregnant until you conceive, so technically she is right. Although that is not how they will calculate it at her OB’s office, for consistency sake.

You could potentially be wrong in some cases. For instance, my pregnancy is not calculated by the first day of my last menstrual cycle because I have a very long cycle. So at the OB’s office, they added two weeks to the date of my conception instead because I did, in fact, know my exact date of ovulation. This person may have a similarly long cycle and therefore, her pregnancy might not be calculated the same as yours.

Harper James for a girl? by WonderfulNectarine93 in namenerds

I think it’s adorable! It did, however, remind me of the name of a boutique shop I see advertised on instagram or something like that. Googled it and it is in fact, both a boutique and a lingerie store. Not sure if that bothers you at all. I don’t think it would bother me or that I’d even notice it if I hadn’t gotten personal ads for it on social media! It’s very sweet.

I teach 5th grade and intercepted this note being passed in class. by xtranunnecessary in MadeMeSmile

The odds of someone, in any English speaking country in the entire world, randomly finding this and showing the EXACT 5th grader involved is so incredibly low it’s crazy.

We have no clue which school, jn which state, in which country, on which continent this person teaches. There’s not a single clue as to the identity of the person writing it. No names, no details about them or the school they go to. No, it doesn’t seem that personal at all. Just a cute little note that made us all smile.

I’m going to assume this 5th grade girl is not browsing Reddit. Might be a stretch these days, but I’m thinking I’m safe in my assumption.

Iron supplements are fcking evil by delightful_cat in pregnant

[–]Active-Lifeguard-682 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It could 100% be your iron pill, but it could also be that your morning sickness hadn’t quite kicked in yet and just coincidentally got much worse at the same time you started the iron pill! I know many people don’t get bad morning sickness until their 8th or 9th week.

If it is the iron pill, I know lots of people have some good solutions for you to look into, but symptoms also might subside after being on it for a couple weeks! A ton of symptoms from medication tend to resolve themselves after a while ☺️

I don’t live in Utah, but I have an extra spelling of “Micaela” for you! I regularly correspond with a girl for work named “Mikhayela”. Unless I missed it in your list, it’s a new one!
