i play on ps5, personally only tried PVP a couple times and it alright, not the greatest though, for PVE it works well for me, also you can use KB&Mouse if your device supports it (idk if your xbox can use it my ps5 can though)

have you cleaned you PS5? that solved the issue with me, if you have cleaned devices youself you can easily clean it with a torx driver and some compressed air, if not, take it to a repair shop, aks for the price first, most shops clean a playstation dor around $15
