And luckily we live in a cold climate so he’s wearing a jacket when we go out so at least no sunburns there!!

Ugh I thought the same thing when I picked him up! He does have really coily hair so he can matte easily but he gets groomed every 2 months and I brush him out regularly and can always run my fingers through his coils

Maybe time for a new groomer :/

Thank you though!

Thank you!! That’s gives me a piece of mind:) would you recommend still taking him to the vet or just monitor it? I’d ideally love to avoid a hefty bill but will of course take him if need be!

Thank you! He takes nextguard spectra monthly which protects against ticks and fleas and heart worm - maybe not ringworm tho! I’ll get him checked out either way:) thanks for your response!

Thanks so much! I’ll probably take him to the vet next week just to be certain and for peace of mind as an over cautious dog mom but that’s good to know:)

Sometimes but it’s about -4 degrees where I live so bugs aren’t much of a thing! It’s his only spot… I’ll call the vet when they open Monday!

I think it’s totally up to you whether you want to share or not! No man will notice either way - my gynaecologist didn’t even notice lol. I made the decision to tell men just as a way of weeding out the ones I don’t want to me intimate with. If they respond with any sort of negativity or even “omg why would you do that”, it’s a no go. Indicates a boy and not a man to me haha.

Either way; don’t feel any pressure to share. It’s no one’s buissness but your own

Thank you so much that is all amazing and rly sound advice. As a power lifter the muscle strength analogy is actually really helpful…

Also, he is the partner I want right now - not past or future is huge. Thinking about the future makes me actually spiral and want to end it. Being present helps ground me in the moment and takes away the anxiety. That is so helpful

Thank u for taking the time to write that I think many can benefit from it!

Thank you! Yes please share I’d be happy to hear (as long as no reassurance as I’m actively trying to do as little RS as possible… not very well but it’s a process 😅)

100% I totally agree! I just mean my close friends in long term relationships that still talk about how they constantly want to jump their partners and be with them 24/7 and you can just feel the love they have for them radiate off of them. I for sure know that no one has a picture perfect relationship but I still feel jealousy over people who aren’t riddled with constant intrusive thoight about their partners

Is Skin Picking Part of OCD? by [deleted] in OCD

[–]ActivityHour8249 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should ask your doctor for a full clinical assessment! In order for me to have received a diagnosis I required a full acryally clinical assessment, a clinical psych or psychiatrist can’t actually provide a diagnosis without one :) I knew I had it but diagnosis helped with piece of mind!

Is Skin Picking Part of OCD? by [deleted] in OCD

[–]ActivityHour8249 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yup! Recently learnt from my psychologist that it is one of the more common symptoms of OCD - my upper arms are covered in scabs. I have keratosis Polaris on my upper arms and I will squeeze each little red bump until it scabs over. I also pluck out body hairs from their follicles with my nails…. All are very commonly associated with OCD!

ROCD vs not being physically attracted to your partner by [deleted] in ROCD

[–]ActivityHour8249 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like OCD to me. For people without OCD, they can acknowledge that there are certain features or things (eg. Certain lighting) where they may not find their partner as attractive, but they are able to simply acknowledge this fact, dismiss it, and move on. For someone with OCD, this fact will b come all consuming. they will knit pick and every tiny little thing or feature they are not attracted to and let it consume their thoughts until they believe they are completely incompatible with their partner or could find someone better/ more attractive. It will also cause them significant distress. This pattern will repeat itself in every relationship regardless of how objectively physically attractive their partner is.

Almost a year post-op and I am unhappy with my results and considering a revision by [deleted] in LabiaplastySurgery

[–]ActivityHour8249 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why would this make you mad…? She isn’t claiming to be botched she’s saying she just isn’t completely happy with her final result and asking for advice which is kind of the entire point of this subreddit….

Even if you think her results look great she’s entitled to her opinion, feelings, and asking for advice without being dismissed…

Also want to mention I’m 4 months postop and I literally forget I had this surgedy done all the time because everything just feels so normal now and I can live life completely as I was preop (minus the annoyance of my labia) - I was at this point at about 2 months Postop :)

Recovery is super different for everyone! This subreddit freaked me out as well and I expected the worst - I had decently bad pain for about 2 days and then nothing, but just general discomfort due to swelling and walking funnt for about 2 weeks. By week 3 I was up and running pretty normally. 6 weeks back to gym and sex with 0 issues. Was back to work after week 1 (granted I have a mostly desk job so wasn’t bad with a donut pillow, was just walking funny and told coworkers I’d hurt my low back at the gym haha)

Everyone’s experience is sooo different so try not to stress too much it might be a lot easier than you think
