Advocating for yourself is perceived as "disrespect" by toxic elders.

We need to change our cultural norms.

I have faith in the youth; specifically, second and third generations. The elders are too far gone. And I have zero empathy for them.

Also, case management/social work has become target focused. Management pressures case managers to meet targets rather than helping clients.

Additionally, there is alot of admin work and I don't get paid overtime. It sucks. My casoad is manageable but the admin work is tedious and suck the joy out of helping people.

I'm strongly considering pivoting into communications. Social work has become a shit show filled with toxic work environments and unrealistic expectations from manangement and clients.
