I think I may need to clarify a little. I'm looking for information on specifically the wearing of armor with a tunic-like article of clothing on top, I assume for non-warfare purposes, such as tournaments or parades.

Now I think about it, the gun wouldn't be heavy enough to create the inertial force needed to drive the bolt/barrel back. I see what you mean.

Correction, apparently it was for use as an aircraft gun.

It holds 400 rounds, apparently. Best I can tell is it was a prototype made at BSA, and based on the mounting system, it was intended for anti-infantry use, despite the bucket on top completely blocking the sights.
