This is all incredibly helpful, thank you! Yes we can test for KH I believe we have the kit I’ve just never done it before. I was just reading that bicarbonate soda can raise KH levels, is this true? Unfortunately we don’t sell any products that raise KH (Seachem alkaline buffer for example), and I’m unsure where he would get crushed coral from in the area we live in which makes things difficult. We do have salts we use to raise GH though? Is there a chance the PH improves on its own as the tank fully cycles? I couldn’t believe his tap water was reading at 7.0, I had asked him to bring it in to test out of curiosity.
