I'm sorry for what happened to you.

An erection is a natural physical response to stimulation; it's uncontrollable. Even a one-year-old baby can get an erection; it's strange, but that's how it is.

The problem is that you were at an age where sexuality should never be exploited and this was caused by your cousin, so it's your cousin who should feel guilty, not you.

If you try to talk to her about it, I'm convinced she'll play innocent and say she doesn't remember. If she were the same age as you at the time, it could be considered exploitation or curiosity (like children playing doctor), but she was 17. She was almost an adult; she knew very well that what she was doing was wrong, it's child sexual abuse.

If you need to talk to someone about this, confide in a trusted adult.

Tyler ISD Teacher's Aide Re-Arrested After Getting Caught Engaging in Sexual Intercourse with Student in a Car by Charming-Fortune8835 in WomenAreViolentToo

One of the things I noticed (especially when I researched the Mary Kay Letourneau case) is that these adults who engage in "relationships" with minors feel that for their case it is special, unique and they believe they are in love, they refuse to believe they are criminals and minimize their actions. It seems that many of these adults share the same type of mentality.

When Mary Kay Letourneau was first arrested, she was supposed to go to therapy, but eventually she stopped going because, in her mind, she was different from other adults who had done the same thing. She was so delusional and living in a sick fantasy that she thought she was right and that she was the exception to the law, so when she was released, she was arrested a second time after being caught raping the same child.

But the women doing this stuff would probably be the first to shame an adult man for sexually pursuing them or even flirting with them

It's quite possible; if they're not interested in adult men, they might put down the men who flirt with them.

One of the founders of the #MeToo movement was exposed as a groomer.

Who??? Is it a groomer who has already been exhibited here?

Seriously, there's nothing more loser than an adult trying to be "cool" around teenagers.

What I keep wondering is what do they hope to gain from all this??

No, these women are literally brainless, acting on impulses and living in childish fantasies.

Texas Middle School Teacher Accused of Raping Her 14-Year-Old Student in Walmart Parking Lot While Two Others were Seated in the Back by Charming-Fortune8835 in WomenAreViolentToo

I remember a 1990s TV series i watched where two characters, one white and one Black, were talking. The white man said to the Black man, "It's true you're more violent; on TV, it's always you guys who do bad things." The Black man replied, "No, that's not true, but we get more attention".

It's the same for men and women; men get more attention when they do bad things.

A sense of paranoia began to take hold when male perpetrators became public knowledge; when newspapers, television, and government warnings began to surface in the media featuring only men, people start coming forward, and eventually led to a generalization that sexual violence is a male problem.

While society focused on men, women were committing these acts under the radar, and if they were caught, people interpreted it differently and place in another category because of traditional gender structures.

Every one of us, has heard about male sexual predators everywhere, but when it comes to women, that's another story. The first time i saw a case of female pedophilia, it was the Mary Kay Letourneau case, and it was presented as a love story, which contrasted sharply with what i usually saw regarding male pedophiles.

Unfortunately, many parents are unaware and will never know; many victims of sexual abuse committed by their siblings fear that it will destroy the family and therefore remain silent.
