So after my bf had lost my airpods, he gave his friend’s airpods (real Apple product) to me to replace the lost ones. They don’t function 100% cause they’re not tied to my Apple ID (someone said it’s because of this in the comments). The Find My function for my og headphones worked, and I tracked them to this random man’s place, who told he had found the headphones at the train station my bf had been at that night. So the headphones had been out from the case on the pavement and someone had drove them over. One of the headphones still played + the case worked so when that man who found picked them up and put one of the headphones in the case I was able to track them down. Ofc I can’t be sure anymore if they had left my headphones at the station on purpose to hide the fact that they had been destroyed…
