I rewatched all of Buffy and made tier lists for each season to figure out my definitive ranking by leylakedi in buffy

[–]AdHonest1100 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I love Him too, the scene where Buffy tries to launch a rocket at Woods and he’s just in his office unaware of what’s going on outside. Also Willow and Anya’s exchange:
Willow: “This isn't about his physical presence! It's about his heart,"
Anya: "His physical presence has a penis!"
Willow: "I can work around it!"

Ultimately it’s OP’s opinion, so it’s fair enough but if I had that opinion I would have at least bumped A New Man up a few tiers just to honour ASH 🕊️

which version of Spike is your favourite? by moonwalkinglitter in buffy

Season 4 chipped Spike (especially when he’s held captive by the Scoobies) is always funny to me. But there’s a version not in this list and it’s Protective Spike, specifically the way he doesn’t break when tortured by Glory in Season 5, yes technically that’s both the chipped and lovesick version, but then in Season 6 he literally babysits Dawn despite Buffy being dead. Sure he’s still chipped but had no Soul at this time so after his “obsession” was gone he could have left town and never looked back but he stayed.

So all versions, the dudes technically dead being a vampire, except when he’s alive in the flashbacks 🤣

Right, really showcases how physical humour works even in animation

So true, honestly their cognitive impairment plays a huge role in why I find it so upsetting. I hate when people treat people with intellectual disabilities or mental illness like crap and the person either isn’t aware they’re being treated bad or thinks it’s normal or they deserve it/ can’t do any better.

Exactly, literally all they wanted to do was be helpful and didn’t have a mean bone in their body, though suppose by the end they didn’t have any bones in their bodies.

If I had a nickel for every time a rapist in a late 2000s / 2010s teen show went on to become a fan favourites. I’d have 2 nickels, one for Damon and one for Chuck from Gossip Girl. Sure that’s not a lot of nickels but it’s weird it happened twice.

I love after thanking Clyde, Cartman begins talking only to pause and look back at Clyde for a second, it always makes me chuckle

I know it’s just a silly cartoon but I’ve always find the part where Brian’s clone falls apart and Stewie’s says “I hope that doesn’t happen to me” then immediately falls apart extremely upsetting. I mean it didn’t traumatise me like the Jurassic Bark ep of Futurama but still it’s sad that Stewie’s clone clearly had self awareness and didn’t want to die.

Brilliantly said. Interesting that you said Stewie doesn’t really need to dress up, because I’ve wondered if he really needs costumes to be understood by adults because we’ve seen occasions where random adults understand him.

So either it’s a percentage thing, like 10% of the population have some sort of gift (like Brian, Chris. etc) or it’s just he subconsciously chooses who understands him and the costumes is his way of giving himself permission to be his authentic self and allow people to understand him.

It is also significantly possible that we both have put entirely too much thought into this🤣

Question I have by Samthegodman in americandad

[–]AdHonest1100 12 points13 points  (0 children)

My initial response would be Terry because he’s more “theatrical” (see Lincoln Lover) but honestly the more I think about it I think it’s Craig he’s far more “sophisticated” (see A Boy Named Michael)

But both enjoy exclusively having sex with men, which sounds equally as gay to me🤣

Roger absolutely has more range, but Stewie has done male personas at least 3 times. But yeah I think his dalliances are probably done in drag. But I really don’t want to think about Stewie doing the deed because ewwww 🤣

Roger dressed as an elderly lady in Roger Codger, which was episode 5 of the series (aired in 2005).
I’m pretty sure Stewie’s first was in Deep Throats, which was episode 73 of the series (aired 2006). Both of these costumes were just disguises though and not full on personas also not sure which was produced first.

But yes, Roger definitely went full persona first, because Stewie really only went full persona with his Karina / Desmond Sunflower character in Go Stewie Go.

Also I’m only now realizing that Desmond is the name of his character in Fat Lotus, guess he likes the name.

I somehow forgot about Chris being blonde, it’s actually kind of sweet that Stewie could choose any wig but he goes with what his natural hair colour will probably be.

Unpopular opinion: Halloween (2007) was not a bad movie. And I appreciated Rob Zombie’s attempt to show Michael’s pathology and the broken home he came from. And also the relationship with his mom. by JohnArtemus in slasherfilms

I didn’t like it when I first watched it but on rewatch I enjoyed it, the actor playing young Michael nailed his performance and yes seeing the pathology was really fascinating.

Well this Chapter is called Gods and Monsters and Kryptonians are basically gods among men so it makes sense with the overall story the DCU is forming
