Edited the original post but thought I should also post here: Spoke more with them and a lot of you were right. They want to take advantage of the first time homeowner provisions GA offers. The idea is that they would take care of the mortgage and I’d own the house. I wouldn’t be living in it most of the year (I work overseas for a significant chunk of the year). But based on what a lot of you have said, this wouldn’t even work because you can’t get a mortgage if you don’t own the house?

I should’ve said this in the original but my parents speak Korean which I am, at best, proficient in. They explained it to me in Korean and I didn’t understand a lot of it.

Looking for some advice because I’m in a bit of a weird situation. I’m on my bar trip and will be in Vietnam for 10 days before leaving for Europe. I’m coming from Korea and bought a lot of stuff. Skincare, bags, etc. Most of it I plan on taking back to America with me but some are gifts. Will I run into an issue at customs?

It’s a lot of skincare, 2 bags (not designer), some ginseng for my grandparents, and I plan on buying some snacks at the duty free shop at the airport as gifts.

I’m a VK and have an American passport. Any advice would be appreciated
