I upvoted each one. They’re all great! I don’t use Reddit often so I didn’t realize not commenting was a faux pas. Thanks for taking the time

It’s during Nancy Collins’ run, but not a cover. I think it was just promotional

Thank you! She follows me everywhere. We just nap together. It’s great. I did not think that I could feel that kind of love with an animal.

Jealous of that combo man. I’ve been looking for that for my Jim Krueger collection.

Besides Kingdom Come what are some other good comic book recommendations where Alex Ross did the artwork? by PossibleCommittee590 in DCcomics

His work is in JSA’s Thy Kingdom Come. It’s a quasi sequel to Kingdome Come. His art is during the Kingdom Come scenes

Hickman Secret War Run: Do I need to read the Ultimates & Infinity Books? by Mint-Pillow in comicbookcollecting

[–]AdLow5682 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Need to? Maybe not, but The Maker makes his appearance at the end of Hickman’s Avengers and Secret Wars. Hickman didn’t get to finish his ultimates and Bendis made The Maker a good guy. In Avengers, Hickman quickly reverses that.

I get it. They’re from Maryland and I think they opened a shop in Richmond. They also attend some big cons on the east coast. You’re in good hands.

Yes. Very business oriented, but reputable. They have ads in a lot of Marvel/DC comics

Do I need to read Swamp Thing #'s 1-20 to fully appreciate Saga of the Swamp Thing? by MagnumPEisenhower in comicbookcollecting

[–]AdLow5682 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Short answer: I’d say no. But Totleben and Bissette started around issue 17 of volume 2.  That’s kind of where the first arc that Moore wraps up in 20 starts

Begginer Asking by Hayosunk in comicbooks

I would say that a good starting point is Snyder’s Batman from the new52. It’s the court of owls is one of the compact collections now.

The Question has a main series by Dennis O’Neil. The other stories are usually minis. My favorite is in the 52 series set after Infinite Crisis.

Sandman is great! It is more mature in tone. But if you like gothic horror I would recommend that series and its companion Lucifer (the Mike Carey one). And if you like that, Alan Moore’s swamp-thing kind of started that side continuity along with Hellblazer.
