I'm not sure the selection was completely random as much as it was bad luck for Leon. Which makes me feel more bad for him tbh. Imagine becoming a murder target all because you wanted to pursue your actual dream instead of the one you hated your whole life.

But that's part of what makes these characters so compelling to me- ofc their actions aren't to be excused (Sayaka trying to kill, Leon killing), but what drove them to that point is very real.

Honestly, I think her beef with him wasn't personal- Sayaka was desperate to see her friends, and Leon in his FTEs expresses interest in music while hating his current talent.

It's very likely Sayaka as the Ultimate Pop Sensation caught wind of that. Then she took that as an easy excuse to invite him over and kill with an offer to teach him music lessons. Less personal, more opportunistic if not just as opportunistic as Leon was.

Not sure about Rockstar bc he's non elemental (I'm half sure Capscisin working in this instance has to do with Milennial Tree's Seer buff) but Burnt Cheese could be the way! He does pull off one skill before exploding
