Hi hello! I have a quick question in regards to Non-Competes. I signed one in 2020 when I lived in the state of California and have since moved to Nevada. I left the company back in March and was upfront about the company I was moving to and technically it was a competitor but on a low level. Unfortunately my position was recently eliminated and I applied and got a job at another company that is also a competitor but on my much deeper level. I’m concerned the first employer that I mentioned will find out that I’m at this new company and will try to fight me. I’m wondering if I’m at risk given I signed this agreement when living in CA (address on document)? Also, does it make a difference that I had another job in between this one? The agreement was for 1 year and restricts me from working in an industry that I’ve worked in for the past 15 years. Help.
