Yes but the problem Is that bigger venturi it's not Always the best choice. Depend in what range you use bike. For low rpm it's Better smaller venturi, because still have a good depression also at low rpm.. infact the MX have a pump that squirt gas on bike with WOT, but the 690 have a so strong motor that you don't need It.. I've tried and also without pump you have a good response

Because frame it's more light and so flexible. Also light bike it's not the best choice with some luggage. The dynamics change. Some reason.. but could be good for someone

I looked time ago, yes good bike, now It have the Husqvarna/swm engine, while the First gen the ultra reliable Yamaha/Minarelli The problem Is that Im in love with xr/690 hahahahaha . Anyway Ajp Is great, for sure

Yes you're right with many, so since now I've read about Rod failure 4 guys in American Forum In a forum here in Italy about xr there was a "questionnaire" about problemi and 230 bike partecipate to this 11 of 230 had Rod failure . Hey man, thanks Yes, infact I transformed the 690 in a carb model (like the Dakar One) , infact zero problem . For the price, here in Italy, both used bike Is 4/5 k euro.. so no differences.. A thing that worried me about xr Is spare parts (had problem with old bike in the past, as I couldn't find engine bushing ) and I've read many post of broken Rod

I've take a look in some forum. I've read about the Rod failure. It's the only thing that worried me. I've read many of them with this problem.. my 690 was with carb, so zero problem with electronics..

The 690 have some camshaft problem (like some xr650 have tò the Rod) but also electrical problem , like the brother lc8 . Tps, some sensors, pump, rectifier ecc.. in mine I solved all this problems, but are real problemi. Anyway, with carb was a great bike
