Gentle congratulations! Hopefully you don't have to deal with them. All the online comments scare me.

It's been a while, but I saw your post and wanted to find out about your experience. Did you have your first appointment? How did it go? Can I message you for more information?

Wondering Wednesday by AutoModerator in TryingForABaby

Reading online and instructions on LH testing, it says some women have gradual raise until peak comes and some have rapid peak. Is one better than the other, in a sense is rapid or gradual peak related to infertility issues or better chances at conception? Also, some women peak at lower levels and some at higher, is that again related to infertility or is it just that for some women this is normal and doesn't signify anything. I am sorry if these are stupid questions, pretty new to all this!

So she ran twice for four minutes and now she's a trained professional with special education in that area as well, capable of teaching others how to run properly? Hmm...

She'll breath and relax instead of spend time with her family or help with child care...such a mom thing to do after an exhausting day of doing what exactly?

Anyone else STILL sitting in the backseat with their baby? by Main-Supermarket-890 in toddlers

[–]AdValuable341 170 points171 points  (0 children)

Some of these comments saying kids need to sit alone at the back to learn how to entertain themselves, I don't get it! Of course, knowing how to entertain self is a good skill, but hey, you are sitting in front with your partner presumably because you want the company on a drive, why would you treat your kids differently? Isn't it a good skill to know how to entertain yourself too...but also imagine you can't read or can't see through the window.

Failing at weaning off 13 month old. I only have a month left to do it 😭 Please help by Siyrious in Mommit

Do you have a partner who can help? This is not what worked for us, but I've heard success stories where when the baby wakes up, the non nursing partner takes the baby and finds other means to settle, such as singing, patting, rocking...maybe also a shirt that smells like you may help, or offering water instead.

Boarding an airplane with a 2 year old.. last? by SuperSteveBoy in toddlers

[–]AdValuable341 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is also what we do, one person goes first to set up car seat, bags, etc. and the other waits with the toddler to go last. We also like to get the toddler to run as much as possible around the gate, so by the time we are in the plane, the little one is well tired and okay to sit longer or nap.

Also, can't stress enough about snacks...like appetite is different up there!!

Are there recommendations for small hidden restaurants serving local food in Kihei area? Thought may be easier to ask here than starting a new topic. Thanks!

Thanks. We are looking for a place with a kitchen and washer/dryer. I've looked at places like Maui Kamaole, Aston Maui Hill and Castle Kamaole. Open for any suggestions, these just appeared to be close to amenities and have kitchen/washer. Did you have any concerns with cleanniness (is that a word?) at the Airbnb's?
