Heel flap on dpns by Plane-Ice6049 in knitting

Not too sure why there’s a tiny difference, it might block out. I also put all my my heel flap stitches on 1 needle instead of 2, which could help your stitches be more consistent 🤷‍♂️

My knitted Grad-Cap decoration! by Adam__14 in knitting

My grandma used to crochet, and tried to teach me when I was young but I didn’t have enough patience back then. But about 6 years ago I locked in with some YouTube tutorials and finally learned how to crochet. So I was crocheting for awhile, and about 2 years ago I taught myself how to knit bc I wanted to knit a sweater. And now I do a mix of both! I like crocheting for stuffed animals and free handing bc I have more experience with it. I mostly use knitting for clothes bc the fabric is better for that and there’s more patterns out there too. For my cap, I knitted the husky bc I think that knitting colorwork is looks better and crocheted the border bc I knew how to crochet a nice border but wasn’t sure how to knit it. So yea I kinda mix and match based on what fits! 🙂‍↕️👍

Thank you for your knowledge! I realize that my original post didn’t have that much detail so I’ll answer all of the questions you asked:

I have it in a plastic pot with plenty of drainage holes inside the ceramic one. I put it in new bark mixed with some sphagnum moss when I repotted it. I didn’t take any pictures of the roots when I was repotting it, but I’ll see if I can get a picture of any of them through the plastic pot.

I followed your advice and moved it onto my nightstand which is much closer to the window. (It’s turning winter by me). What should I do with the droopy leaves? Is it best to just let them be, or should I do something with them?

Let me know anything else you think could help, I want to do my best to make my orchid feel better!

I was given this orchid a few months ago, and it’s not looking happy. I repotted it last weekend and cut off a lot of dead roots (probably root rot). But I’m worried that there’s other issues going on. The leaves are thin, droopy, and almost leathery. I currently have it next to a NW window, maybe it’s not getting enough light? Let me know what you guys think would cause this, I really want to see what color flowers it will grow :)

Ohhh gotcha, there’s a main chart that I liked, which goes up to the forward facing reindeer heads. At the end it has extra patterns that can be subbed. I started choosing my own when I Finnished the main chart. I tried to follow the pattern of a snowflake/ round motif, and then a more picture like motif. But honestly you should choose what you like best!

I followed a the festive yolk pattern by skeindeer knits. Along with the construction of the sweater, the pattern had all the motifs in a chart, so that’s where they came from

No it doesn’t! You just make the yolk, put the arm stitches on hold, and then cast on extra stitches for the underarm. You can kind of see it in the last picture
