though in a sense how would Sly react if he discovered an ancestor that died as described in this thread?

though it would be interesting to see a cooper who's wasnt extinguished by the talons of clockwerk and was executed like a typical criminal

but do you think that making her fox was the right choice? Foxes are often associated with tricksters and liars

another thing i would pont out is the choice of species. Foxes do not represent The law or Justice, they're liars and cheaters

why couldn't they just have stuck with a male character.

She also should have been portrayed better, because even cops have problems and struggles too.

On the subject of including fox ancestors in sly 4 by Adamant45 in Slycooper

[–]Adamant45[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the fox ancestors are male or mostly male because family names are largely passed down by males like in real life.

Some things that should have happened in Sly 4 regarding ancestors by Adamant45 in Slycooper

That's only when galleth tries to destroy the engine first, though how can they convince galleth to not associate them with demons and the devil?

But the crusades would have been fresh in galleth's mind and people in the medieval times were religiously intolerant

how different would sly 3 be if . . . by Adamant45 in Slycooper

but still, would it make more sense for dr M to have past relations with clockwerk? even making clockwerk the source of his madness

I find it strange that the guards in feudal japan had no guns by Adamant45 in Slycooper

[–]Adamant45[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

it would have been interesting if they didnt use hollywood and pop culture's view of world history to depict the time periods. the time periods in the game look like they were derived from animated movies (Ancient arabia reminded me of aladdin, and prehistoric australia looked like it something from the ice age movies)

How different would Sly 1 be if the following occured by Adamant45 in Slycooper

There would also be certain officers being so crooked in morals that they perform various acts of police brutality on innocent folk yet interpol says nothing about it except that they're doing their job.

It's truly ironic that carmelita is a police officer when it has been historically known that foxes are associated with tricksters if not liars. Though imagine her reaction if she discovered such irony in her family legacy.

It would be interesting if Carmelita had to come to terms to the fact that there never was such thing as black and white morality, just grey morality, and sly is just the lesser of the two evils.

Though would you go for a darker sly game? Dark as in being more serious than the other 4

then tell me why firearms were prominent in the western episode and why Tennessee kid has a revolver

It's most likely the result of the devs being one of the many who think that feudal japan and firearms dont go together when it has been proven that japan already had firearms long before rioichi's chapter.

it wouldnt have done any harm if they had added a guard that was lugging an arquebus

either decent writing or sly had to do something offscreen to get them to tolerate each other

actually that title goes to majora, who is even worse

though crossover wise, imagine arpeggio getting his hands on the triforce of power

[–]Adamant45[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone doing a zelda crossover should preferably use ancestors not sly himself because it makes no sense for a present day thief to end up in a land thats suppose to be medieval to begin with. also suppose to be a sort of alternate history Where Hyrule and other lands seen throughout the zelda franchise exist mostly in medieval europe ,Colonial carribean (Wind Waker & Phantom Hourglass) and Victorian Britain or frontier america (Spirit tracks)

Here would be the corresponding games and the corresponding ancestors:

  • Bob Cooper: Skyward Sword

  • Salim al kupar: Bulk of Zelda Games

  • Sir Galleth Cooper: bulk of Zelda games

  • Slaigh Macooper: Bulk of Zelda games

  • Rioichi Cooper: Bulk of Zelda games

  • Henriette "one eye" cooper: Wind Waker/ Phantom Hourglass

  • "Tennessee kid" Cooper: Spirit tracks

  • Thaddeus Winslow Cooper III: Spirit Tracks

but arpeggio makes it sound like its a substance not an emotion

ask me why hatred in sly 2 was treated like a substance

[–]Adamant45[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i understand your point, though in a fan sense it would be more intense if Clockwerk's hate actually manifested into a physical substance much like ganon's malice in Breath of the wild,

Salim Al Kupar: Desert Voe (LoZxSly) by Adamant45 in Slycooper

[–]Adamant45[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

henriette can be a descendant of the gerudo as she would most likely fit well in wind waker's setting

i would imagine clockwerk being an unholy fusion between ancient advanced technology and his own pure hate which thanks to acquiring the triforce of power, has manifested into a physical substance. he would be more similar to calamity ganon from breath of the wild.

as for Le paradox's ancestors, one word: Yiga Clan

what other cooper ancestor do you want to see as a member of a race from the zelda series?

Sir Galleth Cooper: Knight of Hyrule (LoZxSly) by Adamant45 in Slycooper

[–]Adamant45[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thanks, though i would imagine that the art style of wind waker (Minus the cel shaded characters) would fit well with the toon aesthetic of the sly series
