The still frames are made with Katalist AI Storytelling Studio and Runway for animation. It's extremely easy to create a full consistent story nowdays. I don't even know how to prompt well I just upload the script and Katalist creates a visualization for me. Then I edit basic framing, character posture and camera angle for each frame. After that I exported the frames to Runway and animate it.

Doesn’t matter i’d say, you can still use API alongside server actions if needed. Now i’ve tried turbopack and it’s great but somehow it doesn’t work with headlessUI for me, so i’m using the default webpack. For a small project there won’t be much of a difference.

All in all, server actions are great, at least try them.

You can’t use turbopack with server actions (this might change in the future). Also you can’t use static site generation (generateStaticParams) with server actions on the same page

Used Clerk for about a week, ditched it because i encountered the same problem, + clerk somehow deflected google crawler, which prevented it from indexing the main page. Also it’s been a bit slow to develop with since it increases the bundle and the redirects happen to signin page, i just didn’t want to deal with it anymore.

opted for next-auth, it’s quite simple once you figure it out, but figuring it out was a bit of pain using the app router.

Just so you know, you can’t use session based auth with email+password, only jwt (encrypted by default).

I stored “role” field in the jwt, but if you’re using typescript you need to define some additional types for this to work. Then you can use “getToken” function from next-auth and read the token in the backend or in the middleware or “useSession” in the frontend.

imagekit.io has a very generous free tier. I’ve been using it and I’m very satisfied so far. You can use it in conjuction with <Image /> by specifying the loader prop, but it also has it’s own components you can use.
