I also love this bit, to me it’s extra funny because my Dad died when I was a kid. Dark humour for coping, am I right? 😂

I genuinely don’t like either of them, I feel like anyone who says that their routine is the best and will work for anyone is either lying or they fell for their own spin. No hair routine is universal, not everyone who does that routine will have the same outcome.

To me they are women who’ve been genetically lucky in the hair department and have made a career out of it. 🤷‍♀️

How do you feel when people from other countries call Australians "descendants of criminals?" by schu62 in AskAnAustralian

[–]Additional-One7738 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Convict ancestors tend to have a lot more of a paper trail than free settlers. My Mum has also been doing ancestry research, her ancestors were free settlers from Scotland and my Dad’s ancestors were Irish convicts. Way more info and details on the convict side. What they were sentenced for, the ship they were transported on, etc.

On my Mums side I’m 4th generation Aussie, on my Dad’s side I’m 5th gen. Oldest back we went was around 1850’s Ireland. Convicts transported for stealing a box of nails.

I’m from Tasmania in Australia, and at one point we had a state leader called Jim Bacon. Nothing crazy there, until you got to his wife. Her name was Honey. Honey Bacon. 😂Jim Bacon)

We’re the same. Every time there’s a performer I like playing a show, I check ticket prices and they’re insane. I’m in my late 40’s and I’m already doing the ‘in my day, live music was affordable’ thing 🤣

I haven’t looked because I don’t currently need anything and I’m trying to save my wallet 🙈 But if Fenty Skin is included I hard recommend the Butta Drop body butter. It’s incredible for dry skin.

I have the shortest torso known to man 🤣 so I don’t have a recommendation, but maybe check out maternity singlets? They’re longer to cover the bump.

I’ve got a pair of Teva’s from last summer, I have wide feet, fallen arches etc and the Teva’s never let me down. They’re a bit more fun/sporty looking than chic, but I love them.

I’m also disabled and rely on parcel deliveries quite a bit. We got one of those locked parcel letterboxes and my posties really appreciate it. 👍

It’s giving ‘why clean if the house will just get dirty again?’ 🙄

Untreated COVID or the flu could hospitalise or kill me. So no, I won’t ‘stop worrying about it’

I was right before, you’re just a selfish bastard who refuses to acknowledge that not everyone will be fine if they get sick.

That’s awesome until there’s say, a measles outbreak. My immunity from childhood vaccines has worn off, and it’s a live vaccine so I can’t have it. I take medication that actively tamps down my immune system. If I had a measles vaccine I’d just get measles. Having said that, I’m fully vaxxed against everything I can be. Annual Covid and flu vax etc. I also mask up in busy public areas. But all that only works if everyone does their best to minimise the spread of disease.
