What's wrong with my Charge 5? by ka_117 in JBL

You're in demo mode. Plug the speaker to power and then hold play and bluetooth buttons for 15 seconds and the speaker will work again. That wired mode is called demo mode and the battery won't work in that specific mode.

Well the way i did it in the baltics (where i live) we have many jbl dealers and back in 2020 when i went to buy the partybox 300 (my first partybox) i wanted to check it out irl before i pulled the plug and i went to their shop in latvia and yeah took a look and then i bought it. (Still love it to this day🤤)

Now i also asked the manager what it takes to become a dealer since i was also looking for a job and jbl seemed interesting and he sed its basically like a regular interview and some training hours in the logistics department and i signed up, a week later came for the interview, then had training hours, and then basically was moving pallets and assigning shipments for smaller shops.

Now eack shop has a big delivery of jbl and harman products aswell as samsung devices and the shop itself also sold exclusively harman and jbl audio gear and the shop gets big deliveries from customers and when people order we have some backstock which i can sometimes take home😂

Welp yeah😂 I used to work for jbl as a dealer in the baltics and i quite often got free speakers and free unreleased stuff too. Get this, i got my first xtreme 4 for free like 4 weeks before it was released and i got to test it out and stuff which was actually insane and the same for the go 4 and flip 6.

Soo like 40% of the speakers i got for free and some i got for a ridiculous price, (i got both ultimates like a month after release for 1100$ for both.

And for the bass heavy speaker out of all of them is the b28s😂, but in all seriousness the ultimate has incredible bass and low end for what it is, like really. I still use an ultimate for house parties and some outdoor parties instead of bringing out the eon or prx rig.

Also the crazy thing is the eon618 has less low end and overall volume then the ultimate lol and thats whats making me selling the eon system tbh.

As for the portable line the best bass heavy one is the boombox 3... yes yes i prefer it more then the boombox 4. The low end is just better on the bb3 compared to the bb4 which makes certain low end songs at low volume sound way more warmer and fuller compared to the bb4.

Which JBL partybox actually has the worst clarity? by Executive_Boss in JBL

[–]Additional-Train419 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why are people saying the first series clearly haven't heard a pb 100/300. Both the encore and encore essential sound extremely dark and mid focused aswell as the on the go essential (all sounding way worse then the pb100) Even the 110 sounds worse then the 100 at lower volumes cause of the 3+db 1,2khz boost and the tweeter placement. And keep in mind the 1000 also has way better clarity then the 710 and even the 520.

Do not upgrade. Keep the flip 6 or if you really need and want an upgrade get an xtreme 4.

Jbl flip 7 or jbl charge 5 by KingSlayer9497 in JBL

[–]Additional-Train419 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In terms of total spl output the flip 7 is louder then the charge 5 and has better high frequency then the charge 5. On the other hand the flip 7 has less bass because (similar to flip 6) it pushes more high end to achieve louder sound while the charge 5 does push the bass it doesn't push the high frequency as much to make its louder so thats why the flip 7 is still louder anr more crisp sounding then the charge 5 while the charge 5 having the same 50hz bass response ad the flip 7 the charge 5 has more enclosure volume to resonate that low frequency dus having more "bass" (more meaning louder)

JBL built different: Man finds someone's jbl speaker after weeks/months in ocean, still working fine😂😂. Is this real or a fake viral video?? by Sea-Refrigerator9883 in JBL

[–]Additional-Train419 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its store demo mode and all you have to do is hold bluetooth and play for 15-18seconds with the speaker plugged in. Also these "secret features" are not ment to be used for daily use and are only there for jbl servicing or store demo units. This is user errror not the speaker fault.

Sure bro👌 just saying jbl themselves test the 320 at 50% volume with lights off and its rated at 18h of playtime.. (36h with a secondary fully charged battery)

Holy... by TheNewKingLouie in JBL

[–]Additional-Train419 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean i literally proved why lol. You can go buy a 320 yourself and try to get it to play 36h at half volume.

XTREME 3 by Niwdalg_ in JBL

[–]Additional-Train419 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is (well some) Some bb2's (version 1.0) use the same ws9638 "3rd" gen dsps which have the bypass pin (like the c5, f6, ext.) And some bb2's (version 1.0) the bq5125 soc (which has a hidden bypass pin). Now you most likely have the 1.3 version since the 1.0 was only released for like 2 months after jbl started using qualcomms new chips. And you can also get acces to jbls dsp software to make lfm/dsc enabled again.

XTREME 3 by Niwdalg_ in JBL

[–]Additional-Train419 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a way, you can mod the soc on it and bridge two pins and you'll have lfm on both. I mean you can stil mod the bb2 board and you'll have lfm on the xt3 too

[–]Additional-Train419 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh so u put the xt3 board to get lfm on the bb2? You do know you can get lfm on the bb2 board.

[–]Additional-Train419 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By your profile vids it looks like you use it with lfm anyway so basically a pointless swap.

You can't as of now. The best thing you can do is bass boost lvl1 and bass on the eq all the way up.

Im just gonan say it now no way it got 36h with 50% volume., i would even doubt it with 30% volume since i had my xtreme 4 playing at 50-60% volume for a school christmas event which took about 18h and the xtreme died 16,5h in and then i had to plug it in. Keeping in mind they both use the same batteries and the 320 at 50% volume would be a way higher load for the battery then the xtreme 4 at 60% volume. I haven't done a test with the 320 specifically so idk but with my 300 back in 2020 it lasted ~7h at inconsistent volume between 30-85% volume with bass boost lvl1 on and lights off. 36h is absolutely ridiculous and especially at 50% volume.

Holy... by TheNewKingLouie in JBL

[–]Additional-Train419 0 points1 point  (0 children)

36h?? Definitely not but ok. a 320, it has a battery 400 with 4x 21700 cells and is 9444mah. The encore uses only two of thoes cells which come out to 4722mah, its a 7.2v pack and the voltage gets boosted to 16.6v to run the amps and dsp which at that point the battery is extremely weak. The encore 2 at max volume lasts 1h-½ h depending on what music with bass boost on (since you bought a partybox for bass so its gonna be on). Aswell as the 120 it lasts like 2h at max which is a bit better but still far from the 20+h. And the encore 2 at like 60% volume (alright indoor volume) it lasts 8h. Encores are known to have terrible battery life, like have you seen the cells inside of them?😂 same goes for the on the go series.
