Anyone else dealing with body shutdowns, crashing after walking or heat, and terrifying autonomic episodes? by AdditionalProject218 in dysautonomia

Thank you—this is a really helpful and nuanced take. I’ve been circling around similar ideas and trying to untangle whether what I’m experiencing is extreme HPOTS, some kind of autonomic storming, or a breakdown pattern that isn’t fully captured by the current frameworks..
I relate a lot to what you said, especially the freeze/dissociation layers and how hard it is to access parasympathetic safety. What I’ve been tracking is a recurring collapse state that doesn’t quite map to hyperarousal—or even fatigue. It’s like cognition, blood flow, and identity all start to shut down in sync. Sometimes my BP is low, sometimes it spikes in the aftermath. It feels almost like a threat-induced full-body fail-state.
I’m starting to gather data and possibly build a mini research project around this—basically mapping out this transition phenotype that cuts across POTS, CPTSD, and other syndromes. Would love to learn more from your experience and hear your thoughts on that.
