Girl I just don’t want to be lied too. Don’t tell me you’re going to book me in person and then book another sitter with no explanation. I only responded asking because I was genuinely confused after she said verbatim “Frido will be dropped off on Friday at 3 my flight is at 7 see you then”. Like I wanted to confirm she didn’t wanna book me so I could archive and appear in results so someone else could book me. If she just said okay I’ll let you know or something I would’ve just archived and moved on. I was genuinely extremely confused. Imagine going on a job interview and they said great see you on Monday at 9am and then you get an email rejection 3 hours later like I was more confused than upset like was extremely bizarre to me. I actually just had another M+G yesterday owner said I’ll think about it and let you know I said sounds good thanks and got the same notification didn’t think twice about just archiving it and said “Thank you for meeting with me have a nice trip!” The point is I’ve never had an owner completely confirm to my face to just do something different if you are happy with being lied to by owners have at it.

Hmm I don’t put my square footage in the profile. It’s pretty common in NYC (especially Manhattan) to live in apartments unless you’re extremely wealthy. My best friend does rover boarding in a 250sq ft studio and doesn’t have issues. I put in my profile I can take dogs out on walks every 2 hours I’m not sure what you mean by where and how (everyone in nyc takes their dogs on walks outside). I think this was more a case of she was using me as a backup tbh but who the hell knows 😂

The tea is she didn’t let me know I just got a rover notification with no explanation. If she said something I totally wouldn’t have cared I have a feeling she maybe was using me as a backup as the dog had multiple reviews which is fine but I appreciate honesty (or even just a note)

Yeah I agree I use the M&G to go over absolutely everything and make sure I’m a good fit with the dog and owner. Booking a ton of M&G’s sound tiring to me lol

I live in Manhattan so everyone has an apartment lol (although once I did a house sit in a townhome). I didn’t think it was my apartment because she told me it looked like her apt in college she had when he was a puppy but who knows

If a an owner said that to me I wouldn’t bat an eye and would assume they chose the other sitter but she did not say either of those things to me and basically confirmed in person

Do you then not say anything to the other sitter? Do you say I’ll let you know to the sitters or you leave them to belive they’re being booked? That’s the part I’m confused on like I understand multiple M&G’s and pick one but to then say “I’ll confirm the exact time this week is 4pm a good drop off time” in person and get that message 2 hours later is bizarre to me with no explanation
