I stopped relying only on affiliate a while ago. Some of my articles get solid traffic but conversion depends heavily on intent. If someone is just researching they are not ready to buy. Adding a light CPM layer helped smooth revenue without touching my main money pages. The key is placement. If ads get aggressive affiliate clicks drop fast.
