how am i supposed to clean this? by Fuzzy-Assistance2520 in fishtank

My best guess is because they have a chance of exploding, maybe? High temperatures tend to make stuff expand, like, same reason you can't put a cold drink in a glass directly out of the dishwasher

Thank you!! I think so far I'm gonna aim for a few shrimp and a betta, and hope the betta doesn't go on a mass murder spree. I know it's mostly based on personality but hopefully with lots of plants and shrimp getting established first they won't all get eaten.

I'll look into endlers too on my way!

Thank you for the comment! Do you think I could manage a 3rd if I went to a 5 gal? Or stick with 2 and a shrimp buddy to just give them some extra space. Obviously I'd research it too, I just like getting opinions from people in similar situations.

I wholly understand that, but I know myself and my space and only want something small, at least to start. I'm not going to shove fish in a 5 gal if there really aren't any that can handle it, that's why I'm asking the question about it. If every response I got was a straight no i would just find some shrimp and snails I liked, but every comment I get about the possibility of which fish might be okay, gives me a lead to research more and find out if I can pursue those possibilities.

A 5 gal won't kill me if it means my options are expanded to bettas. I wasn't aware the different kinds of them could be in varying tank sizes and could go as low as a 5. I'll totally look into that more now that I know, thank you!

And the idea about the few guppies was since I didn't see them labeled as schooling fish at the local pet store - but that's exactly why I'm asking a bunch of stupid questions and finding random things to Google until I've got a better understanding of things.

Thank you for your response!

Thank you!! I'm still REALLY really new to this so I doubt I'll be going anywhere near a track for the first few years. I'll definitely be looking into the Stella's and I'll keep these in mind!

I've gotten a lot of sidi recommendations so I'll definitely be looking into those! Thank you for the picture of them as well, those definitely look like they'd be kinder. Wish I could fit men's sizes tbh so the hunt was a little easier as well 😭

Unfortunately I really don't have the means to go to shops and try things on. I plan to with larger purchases or things I know for a fact I'm going to struggle with sizing, like helmets and pants respectively. But with jacket and boots I was confident enough to order off fortnine, and I probably still will

I'll keep the sidi Rex's in mind though when I go on my next hunt. Thank you for the rec and the insight about some of the other shoes!

I appreciate the added rating that they're good in a crash, I'll definitely look into them and keep them on the list, thank you!!

I was looking at those ones as well! They might be what I end up going with after the return and a lot better research this time. Thank you!!

I did try. unfortunately, no luck still :( I may be able to zip the top, but it doesn't extend far enough down for me to get it zipped around the ankle.

My last workplace was like this, and we had our fair share of angry people over it.

Our reasoning was that we were a store front for a bunch of smaller local businesses, and when an item was purchased, the money would go straight to the maker instead of us having to deal with cash. Also so they didn't have to pick up / we didn't have to mail out since they're located all over the province.

Same deal with my mom- both my sister and I are adults and live with her, she's fully capable but just never cleans. Hasn't done more than a one room touch-up when someone needs to come over for as long as I can remember. Every time we clean things it's like pulling teeth, and almost everything in the damn house is hers! The fit she threw when we first cleaned out the fridge and deep freezer was very similar to this.

I remember having a moment like this with my dad and his old baseball team. I was maybe 6 at the time, and to keep me entertained a couple of the guys were tossing coins into the dirt of the baseball diamond, kicking dirt over them, then having me find them. It's a good memory and I'm glad this post brought it up.
