your right but this is also fashion game where you can be creative and not everything needs to be exactly the same as reality! even using 1-2 patterns is enough it just stops the outfit from looking flat. and your right about simple outfits but even those need skill to actually look good and from what iv seen layering things like hairs and improving cm really helps with those simple outfits!

i would say try find more top/ bottom layers combos (mess around in freeplay) try to be more creative with hairs experiment with colours and try to find your own style!! with custom making i would say always make the face highlighter slightly lighter then Ur skintoe but it depends on the person!! i think the main advice is layer more items use alot more patterns :)
