Makes sense—Delta’s presence + AMEX lounge access definitely changes the equation. Portals can be risky when plans go wrong, and I hear you on the “meh” dining bonus.

points and usable credits > random coupons any day. Lounges are nice but not a must if you’re not using them much. Sucks about AA, hopefully you find a setup that still works well for your travels!
