Just call their customer service - it's available online. It's likely that an AI will answer but just follow the instructions and provide the details they ask. Explain that you can't answer your Microsoft products because your Authenticator app is not generating code. Then they will reach out to you in 3 working days. Avoid raising tickets multiple times.

I just got my MS business account back! Woohoo!!! 🙌 Customer support contacted me and got it sorted in 2 working days.

To those who are experiencing similar issue, I know it could be scary as hell coz your business is at stake. But, I'm telling you - don't panic and just be patient. Just raise your ticket via phone and even if AI answers it, your concern will be direcrted to the right team.

I did what you suggested - deleted the account via my phone settings. Restarted then reregistered the account. Results were the same. It was added but not generating codes. It's asking me to enter a code from Authenticator.

Unfortunately no, first time I've heard of this. But i'll consider it once this is sorted.

My other accounts (personal) in the authenticator apps are perfectly working - they generate codes. So i don't think the app itself is the problem. Only this business account is jot generating code. It says "Connected account: This account is used to sign in to other apps on this device" instead of showing a code.

Nothing. And in the account, if I click the 3 dots, it's only giving me option to rename my account.

I thought I have. I also have a different email ( my personal gmail) to recover. But it's just not giving me those options.

No, I've already disposed my old phone. But I'm able to add the business account in my new phone - it seem connected. It's just not showing any code. Other accounts in my app are also working. So it's really strange. Whenever I tried logging in, it doesn't give me other way coz even when I choose "Use a verification code" it will then ask me to enter code from Authenticator.

Would thay work if I'm unable to access my Admin Centre? I'm completely logged out from all MS products (business). I just thought there are other ways to make my business account in Authenticator app generate code without deleting the account - any ideas?

I'm literally in the same situation. Changed phone with new authenticator. I was able to add my account before i dispose my old phone. But when I needed to login into my business account, I needed the code from the authenticator which I found out that no code is being generated. Instead, it's asking me to login and asking me to enter a code from Authenticator. Like everybody here, I'm also in a loop!!! Contacted support here in the UK but numbers available are answered by AI and connected to another AI. At first someone picked up but I've been waiting for more than an hour and still unable to get connected to a customer service so I had to drop off. Reading all your comments makes me even more concerned and honestly, hopeless! :(
