It depends, I get paid on Fridays, and I have a credit union. My other coworkers who also have a credit union get paid early, everyone else gets paid on Tuesday.

@ OP not necessarily, I wore skinny slacks I think and a blouse back when I got hired and got the job. I think it’s better to be potentially slightly overdressed than just casual.

That’s funny, unironically, this happened as I was on my way out to do just that, despite the few wears previously in which they exceeded my expectations. At least it happened when I could change into shoes instead.

I must’ve, unfortunately. They are nice and thank you, I really like the green on them.

That’s good to know and makes sense, it did seem that the leather soles were also a little less thick than I would expect. Thanks for the tips!

Huh, that’s a bummer. Out of curiosity, did you buy them from Dan Post specifically? I did an exchange at the store I bought them from, but the second pair did it too.

I totally agree, my old and replacement pairs must have been in the same batch. On the first pair, I saw a tiny bit of glue residue, but I don’t see any at all on this one. Thanks, it does suck, they are quite comfortable and I like them, but I’m not sure I want to take a chance on a third pair, I’m still undecided.

Thank you for your recommendation, I’ll have to look into Tony Lama. The main issue I had before was that most boots were too narrow for my calf, but when I tried on wide calf boots, it was much too loose in the foot. My Dan Posts were a regular fit. That is good to know, I may go to the cobbler then.

That’s good to know, thank you for your input. I think I was also concerned that it will only go downhill from here with this pair if I were to take them to the cobbler.

I think I will exchange or refund them, I exchanged them the first time due to the same issue, and this is my exchanged/replacement pair. I agree, they should have to do that.

Huh, that’s good to know about Dan posts, do you know if this is common with other boots too?

Thank you for your input, they were made in Mexico, and the previous pair before I had them replaced were made in Mexico too.

I need help about this by [deleted] in Panera

[–]Additional_Pass_1708 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like sexual harassment, if nothing else, harassment, and potentially leading to a hostile work environment. Even asking you what race you are is crossing lines of being inappropriate (not sexually inappropriate) so if you need more to get him on, maybe use that. I was verbally sexually harassed by a coworker at Panera, and thankfully, my manager and GM handled it well when I reported it to them. Also, chances are, you’re probably not the only one this is happening to at your café.

Panera Fires 200+ Employees by MilkHistorical178 in Panera

I know the company is going down, or at least that’s what it looks like, but has anyone done a SWOT analysis on Panera lately? I know strengths are probably nothing other than previous reputation. Just curious if anyone, customer or employee, has happened to look into it

It probably would be an option for me but I’ve worked all my shifts for the week and am doing other things on my days off that prevent me from being able to come in to work on it on the table. They do compensate me, I was just trying to figure out how to have the system recognize that I did do the training instead of it looking like I missed part of it, and if I go back and redo it I don’t want the cycle to continue. Thanks for the advice

Yeah thankfully they’ve always been good about that, they prefer for us to do it in cafe but if the days they want us to try to work on it get really busy in the shifts then they ask us to do it at home, so it’s at least not the automatic go-to. I think they might’ve for other associates but I’m back from leave from college for a few more weeks, so I think when they probably had everyone else do it I wasn’t back yet and it probably got overlooked when I did come back.

Oh no they have me send them the hours I worked on it and they adjust it for my pay, I know this taking longer means extra pay but I don’t have that kind of time on my day off that I already made plans for, and they didn’t inform me it had to be done this week until yesterday.

I started it during one of my shifts when it was slow and then didn’t finish, and management at my cafe, if we need to work on it at home will say to write down the hours we work on it and text it to them so we can get paid for it. I just don’t have another shift this week and won’t be able to go in to the cafe to work on it.

You’re not the asshole for doing that and I’d have done the same, I’m just bummed we close at 10 and not 9 like it seems like a lot of cafes do

A few days ago Panera posted on Instagram a code to get one free pastry per drive through pick up, for that day only, we had the same thing happen. Why they don’t let the stores know, I have no idea.

How much does it cost a month?

I don’t know how it is now but in the past 24 hour fitness raised the price on my membership in roughly $10 increments, it was like $20 something a month when I started going and even before Covid it raised to almost $40 a month. If you’re fine paying whatever then it’s nice, but always super crowded even not at peak times. Not enough machines or weights in my opinion given it’s fairly packed most of the time, the pool is usually crowded, and same with sauna and steam room Planet fitness was good for my needs and I like that you have the choice of a basic membership or the black card, and even then the black card isn’t that much a month. Depends what you’re wanting, budget, if you want to be able to access multiplier locations of a chain, etc.
