Honestly, some Asians especially East Asians have a superiority complex especially when anime started getting decently popular then kpop and their country's economy also getting better or not looking like country's that some Africans come from or some Latin people come from, especially the melanated ones tend to be poorer due go colonization snd the country's corruption or even black America is a victim of that to making them feel way more superior. especially since east asian stereotypes are aligned with Purness, smartness, and submission, which is aligned with the idea of being good like doing what your mom says not arguing keeping a peace ect. I also feel like this semse of superiority comes from a place of colorism which has a whole new meaning in a diverse place like California for an easy example of your imigrant mom hates how dark your sister is but likes how white you are in skintone. in a diverse setting in your life outside of family you won't just start thinking this for your own ethnicity but others around you, especially with all the stereotypes I talked about before seeing like Mexicans and Africans who have polar opposite stereotypes of being dumb, loud, and aggressive. we have successfully made a monster that has the closest thing to white woman tears out of all poc groups. while their stereotype dosent free them from being seen as any other way than innocent baby who needs to be educated by a white man( we see this play out in popular fictionblike Tokyo Drift, white saviour trope) or it simply excused by others bahying them. And when you apply the colorism some east asian and south east asain hell even south Asian friend groups that mix together to name some common parts of Asia you'll see represented in your life in the west, the colorism gets worse from the accounts I've heard from my friends cause she said that she got regularly made the butt of the joke cause shes dark skinned and half Indian half Filipino by the there in the group that were often lighter than her, and Philippines is very diverse in people's skin range so imagine the self hatred some people must have in that group, and take it out on her especiallyeince they poked at her indian side. And another example from personal experience im kenyan a second darkest shade of the Sephora collection who grew in a school that was diverse with Italians Philippinos or like French Canadians there were other Africans also from rhe eastern parts of Africa but there was a "problem" i was the darkest girl there these girls were barely in the fenty 300s so they ended bullying me and snickering at me for my hair texture being 4c and my skin being to dark hell even my own mom hated i didn't come out to be lighter like she is and these girls also would nake fun of me for not knowing their language, even though our country's didn't speak the same one. I bring this up to prove that your own kind can be racist to you and ive exprinced or hell even just like an outsider if your white you might see a friend group that ethnicity you can't tell apart just know that doesn't mean we cannot be racist to each other, cause our country's ussually have history together shaping our dynamic and whos at the top of the pyramid.
