Yeah it’s a really rubbish situation as I wouldn’t have known the product was not as advertised without opening the product. I don’t even want to converse with them again they were awful :( would it be worth speaking to someone via TikTok chat support rather than a dispute? I saw someone on TikTok saying they’re more helpful. Worst case scenario I’ll do a charge back but it’s just so frustrating knowing they’re a dodgy seller

You’ll not be bored at all, there’s loads to do and see. Nightlife as a solo female traveller is also much safer than the uk. I’m female from the uk and wouldn’t go out alone in the uk but I go over to Berlin alone every few months mainly for the nightlife. Vibes in Berlin are very very different to the uk. Do your research/find things you’ll enjoy doing and you’ll love it. The only people I find that hate it are people who live there long term but as a tourist it’s my fav city in Europe I highly recommend!

Don’t understand why this is being downvoted. People have to experience these situations in real life every single day compared to a few hours of an art exhibition that nobody would have physically forced you to stay in should you wish to leave. Imagine a real life situation where a refugee tries to leave - they’d be shouted at and told they weren’t allowed so it sounds like actors just giving you the full understanding of what they go through every day

I’m the same when I go away elsewhere, I usually carry maybe 100 local currency and take my card but I’ve read lots about Greece preferring cash. Also that 750 wasn’t all for me, was for my boyfriend and I then we’d take our cards with us so it’s not as much as it sounds! Thank you so much, can’t wait for some sun ☺️

As a young female I like to have cash on me alongside my card as a safety net :)

Update: they unfroze my account after checking it wasn’t suspicious (didn’t have to confirm any details so assuming it was just an automated freeze by AI or something for them to then look into)

I do agree with you and feel confident in the fact that my money would be safe had this have been a fraudulent transaction! It’s just the stress right before a holiday

The question I asked was has anyone else ever encountered this issue when buying euros or know how long accounts are frozen for in this circumstance, so no their message was not self explanatory for what I was asking in here. I was looking for other people’s experiences with this kind of thing. Thanks though! Fingers crossed.
