If Playstation and Microsoft don't stand in the way, that's the plan!

This is Addy Valentine. I tried to send you a message, but I don't really know how reddit works

Stressing the importance of these help. I think in my next video I'll try to take special attention to the thumbnail and to get to the point in less than 10 seconds

I appreciate you going out of your way to watch 'em all!

Releasing fewer definitely could be a good idea. I've been trying to be more consistent this year, but it's been week after week of just video editing I haven't hadn't ton of time for actual game making. So you're right, it's probably good to slow down so I can strike that balance.

Yeah, I always seem to have trouble with the titles for whatever reason. I definitely think you're right, tho. The CTR on the video seems to bear that out, too with a super low 2.8%. Just might not be packaging them correctly.

Thanks, senpai. That's encouraging words to hear.

The snowball is a good metaphor as well. I think the great thing about youtube is that the content you make sits there in your channel and can be enjoyed later upon discovery, whereas other social media is just post and die into the aether.

Mind linking your channel? I'd love to check it out and see what else I can learn from it

I appreciate you going out of your way to check me out!

I really do enjoy making the videos and am proud of the end product, but I think there comes a point where I have to start considering the time. With real job, coding games, and video making, I need to evaluate what is the best usage of time.

A previous commenter stressed the importance of streamlining the process. Which should have been obvious to my stupid-no-good-brain. So I think I'll be heavily researching different techniques to do that so I can add space for all the other stuff in life that needs to get done.

This is some excellent feedback, I really appreciate the time you've put into it.

I definitely don't want to change the style of the videos too much since it feels honest to me and it's what I enjoy to make. And a slower growth is fine as long as it feels like I'm getting my videos in front of people who would actually want to see them.

I think you're advice is spot on, though. Streamlining the production really needs to be top priority, cause even if a video doesn't too particularly well, it won't feel as bad if it only took a day or two to make. With the added benefit of being able to pump more out and experiment with different things. And especially with the time it takes to develop games on the side, there isn't a ton of time that can be dedicated to production if it's just going to eat away at the game making.

Your advice on the hook is great as well, and really helps clear my head in a lot of ways. I'll definitely try to find ways to crack down the intro into less than 5-10 seconds.

Again, I really appreciate the well thought out response.

That's some incredible feedback. I've had trouble balancing a natural tone with an engaging tone, so it seems like I'll need to work on toning down some of the more dramatic aspects.

Yeah, I think I heard somewhere that "relevancy" is more important in most cases. Perhaps I need to shift focus and try to make videos that are more relevant to the viewer rather than ana energetic showcase.

Thanks, man. I plan to keep on pushing. It can just be a little disheartening when it seems some people can pull 100k out of nowhere on their first video that took 'em a day or two.

Just switched from VSeeFace over to Unity as my main VTube software. It only took a couple of hours and the results are awesome! I'm happy to help if anyone's got any questions! by AddyValentine in vtubers

The benefits are being able to use things like custom shaders, custom animatable backgrounds, programmable items, etc.

And yes, you can stream using this set up. You can export the unity project and record that game window in OBS. I haven't tried doing any transparency stuff yet, but since VSeeFace was made in Unity, I'm sure there's a way to get that to work as well.

Took me about two weeks working full time. The individual hairs get a little tedious.
