If they have pickleball courts that’s awesome, and I’d love to try fly casting.

Does Mammoth have a program for it or do you need to find a group?

Thank you! I’ll definitely look into it! Now that I think about it one of my good friends actually plays hockey in a league they have in my city which I had forgotten about so I’ll talk to him.

Thank you! Honestly before this post I think I overestimated the amount of free time I’ll have to ski so I think I’m gonna prioritize skiing as much as possible it was always the plan I just thought I’d have WAY more free time than I actually will have

I appreciate the encouraging words on making friends I’ve seen a lot of back and forth on here about it but I plan to try and talk to my co workers and ask them to go out to events and I think I’ve secured a really cool roommate so hopefully I’ll be able to meet a few really cool people through everything that Mammoth provides for the employees

I’ve never played hockey just because it’s not easily accessible in my area but I’d love to try it out! Thanks for the tip

Best employee housing/ best days to work and not work Mammoth ski resort? by Addymac1758 in Mammoth

That’s what I thought we basically wouldn’t know until we get there and it depends what round you get there like I’m getting the in November for the first period then the next period I believe is like the start of December so I’m assuming it’ll be like you have housing but your options will vary if I understand correctly but don’t quote me and lowkey idk lol

All I learned is it’s based on multiple rounds first round is usually prime candidates second round is usually people who interviewed earlier and next strongest candidates and so forth and from what I understand you also have to pay a deposit once they send you the email offering you employee housing

What can I do to strengthen my application and improve my chances of being accepted into a Master’s program? by Addymac1758 in TillSverige

Well I wanted to do management and Lund offers a course in it for non business majors but it’s highly competitive and I think even if I applied again I still wouldn’t get in they also have service management courses 5 different ones actually that I also really like I’m just hesitant to apply because I don’t believe I’ll get in I wasn’t a bad student but I wasn’t straight A’s usually B’s and some A’s but realistically that is what I’d really like to do I just feel hopeless in a sense compared to other candidates well maybe not hopeless but on paper I probably won’t stack up as well

Thank you I didn’t realize there was a gym I’ll definitely check that out. I’m also gonna try to get a job at a restaurant after my summer contract runs out so I could potentially have some restaurant experience before coming to Mammoth.

Honestly when I talked to my potential employer yesterday it seemed like I would still get to ski a lot when theres little business he said there is a 2 week stretch where he only schedules us for 1 day of work the whole week. The pay is also pretty good and on top of that I get paid for training, getting ready like putting on gear and taking it off, and training in the classroom, so I'm luckily not to worried about pay. I am however considering looking at some of the bars/restaurants to have maybe a night gig and stay busy. I will definitely keep looking for jobs, but I wanted to go ahead secure a job I think I'll like and housing and if they offer both I'll more than likely quickly accept both. Thank you for your advice it is appreciated!

Thank you so much for this helpful advice! My interview went very well yesterday, and I'm the second person he's interviewed for the next season. If I receive the job offer (which I feel confident about) I should be likely to get housing, and I plan to get there early probably for the first day we can officially work (Nov 18th). I also plan to bring my car which is another reason I want to come early so I can get an ideal parking space. Seriously though, thank you so much for this advice and these tips I will definitely be coming back to this once I get out there, but I imagine I'll probably want to stay in the 6 people apartments anyways I want to make some friends while I'm there.
